Sunday's round.
Muddy in several areas on the course. Sprinkler system created muddy spots. Needs to drain better.
We were backed logged on the front nine. There were three twosomes back to back to back waiting.
Greens were in decent shape. They putted well. The sand traps were in good condition.
Not too shabby
Very slow greens
Nice lay out and course geography
I think if the course invested more money into the greens this could be a good course but as it stands now its a great value for the price.
Tough course
Not for a beginner.
Tough course, vicious rough, some tight fairways, some with steep incline to rough, muddy bunkers due in part to recent rains.
No distance markers, rangefinder needed.
I had several penalty strokes.
Beautiful weather, terrible score.
Challenging, yet enjoyable
TIGHT fairways, uniquely laid out holes. most holes are very challenging, but a good balance of risk/reward type of holes if you are trying to take back a few strokes.
If you like a challenge, this is your place.
This course is in pretty good shape. I like to go here sometimes when I want to challenge myself. If you're not driving straight, make sure you bring some extra balls. It's a lot of fun to play here, especially if you're hitting them straight off the tee!
This course is not worth going to
They had bad Service and the Course was in bad conditions and there rate is too expensive for the conditions it's in.
Fun course
Narrow fareways but fun course to play. The pace of play is very good-greens in good shape.
Timber Links
Best kept secret in the Golden Triangle Area. Staff very friendly and will let all my buddies know.
Not a bad course for a quick cheap 9 holes
I play Timber Links at least once a week. It's close to home and layed out very well for the small space it's in. I've never had anything but pleasant folks in the club house. The $6 noon hot deal on Golf Now can't be beat.
Pretty layout but a bit gimmicky.
Greens are a little sketchy and rough is too thick to even look for your ball. This is a tough but pretty layout with too many par 3's.
The course is best in mid June and little bare the rest of the year.
9 hole at its best.
I am a member at this course.
First time I played it I wasn't expecting much.
That quickly changed, each hole is very different. Both in layout and terrain changes.
I would say this is a hidden gem in the north Dallas area.
Almost every hole has a unique challenge that can make par a difficult score.
There are no general features to the course as each hole has a unique character defined by water, hills and elevation changes, hard sand traps, collection areas, narrow fairways or target greens. The putting surfaces are not fast, but they are hard to read with the putt having a tendency to die off over a shorter distance than you think. At first, I did not enjoy my round, but after several more experiences, I look forward to strategizing how to play each hole. This is a fun course with many challenges.
This course is excellant for any golfer looking to fine tune their game.
Course is kept in great shape and I found it to be challenging and ,highly enjoyable to play. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of shade trees to help beat the Texas heat. Fairways are extremely tight that will challenge players of any level to keep the ball in play, course plays really long, combined with the Greens (which are kept in great shape) resulting in a course that I recommend be played by anyone looking to get a quick round of golf into the schedule.
Good challenge
Being a links course the fairways are tighter. The course was kept up well. I will play again.
Nice
Imagine hills tucked away here in Denton. There are 2 very challenging holes that this 9 hole coarse offers. Managed to snag the Hot Deal Making my Sunday afternoon round golf exceptional. A few of the holes are very tight. There could be better markers to show you the way. But very pleasant other than that.
Nice staff, nice course, better than I expected.
9 hole course located in an apartment complex, so figured it was going to be par 3's throughout. When I arrive the pro shop guy was very nice, and asked if I brought plenty of balls. Being a just below average golfer, I always carry plenty, but figured I wouldn't have an issue on a 9 hole, but the course is very difficult. It has narrow fairways, also fairways that go directly up from tee box, and course is mostly filled with par 4's. Downsides were golf cart path only, and not much change in rouigh to greens, Overall made for an fun experience at a decent price, that could be finished in a couple hours.
Beautiful and challenging
Though it is a 9 hole course so you have to play it twice to get your 18 hole fix...it was one of the greatest golf outings I have had in a long time. The course was in great shape despite the metroplex having 100+ degree heat. The greens were not patchy...they were great. Very tight course and right out of the gate you get a challenging hole that makes you think before you hit. You are forced to lay up more than you think compared to your average open golf courses. The course is not a true links course but since it is narrow in parts and the set up is challenging...it feels like a links course. If you want to practice for an upcoming tournament...then this is the perfect course to do it in.
Fun and fast place to play
This course will challenge you with blind shots, lots of elevation changes, and tight fairways. This course is definitely favors accuracy over distance. It's a fun 9-hole layout through the woods and it took me less than 3 hours to play 18.
The course is set near an apartment complex but most holes are through the woods and it doesn't seem like you're playing on an apartment property. It's a good value and the pro is willing to help with course tips if asked. There's no practice facility, just a putting green.
Great Value for the money.
This course is challenging for both beginners and experts. Every time I play here the grounds are in good condition and the hole placement is challenging.
There are times when you can catch a round for $5 and then play 18 for just $11.91 more. You can't beat that value!
This is a great course for beginners.
This is a great course for beginners and fairly priced.
