LOTS OF MOSQUITOES
LOTS OF MOSQUITOES NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT ASAP ITS ONLY GONNA GET WORSE.
Great winter condition with excellent greens.
We played Teal Bend(TB) and for winter time, the course was in great shape. We also loved the green conditions as very pure and fast.
The linkish style layout is really a lot of fun with many bunkers which were also nice. Pace of play was a little slow due to one group
and course representative Jason apologized for the delays. I have always found TB a great course to play. Watched the 49er game after round and enjoyed a good lunch and beverages also. Another plus about TB is it's practice facility. Definitely look forward to playing there again.
good shape for the winter
considering its winter and most of the fairways are bermuda grass, the course was in good shape.
Fun course and challenging. Course was not soggy for this time of year so everything’s a plus. Greens is in good shape. Pace of of play can use improvement but decent. Overall FUN FUN FUN. I recommend.
The Teal reveal
Teal Bend is an 18 hole course situated just to the west of Sacramento International Airport. Every hole is Beautifully lined with willow trees that isolates each hole from the others giving a feeling of a nature walk. The fairways are wide enough with fairly large greens The greens are well maintained with good undulation. Teal Bend offers a well thought out track giving golfers of all abilities a good challenge to their game.
We’ve had a lot of rain lately and this course handles the rain as well as any course in the valley.
I was the second person to tee off. There was a foursome in front of me who refused to let me play through. There was n Marshall. They were painfully slow. Waiting to pick out clubs until others had hit their shots, playing from the blues when they had no business doing it, etc.
after waiting 20 minutes to hit my shot into the green on number 6 I went back to the pro shop and asked that they either talk to the group about etiquette or please give me a refund a it had taken nearly 2 hours to play 6 holes as a single. The guy at the pro shop said there was nothing he could do
Great way to spend a fall afternoon
This course is perfect for guys who like to walk and tote their bags. It is not perfectly flat but situated between the levy of the Sacramento River and Sacramento's International Airport. most of the undulations were man made.. Playing from the back tees can make this course very challenging as there are trees, sand, on all holes and water on several..I was impressed by the speed and condition of the greens, after the long hot summer we had this year.. This course gives the player who, plays from the correct tees, a chance to make par on every hole.. As well as penalizing for truly errant shots.
In good condition
Course is in good condition for the beginning of winter. The greens were in GREAT shape! Good day!
What a great course
Very nice staff, course in great condition, AND excellent value Backups on course were bad, spoke to Marshall who who checked it out & waiting for groups improved slightly.
All in all I highly recommend this course
the course conditions, layout, pace of play all exceeded expectations.
overall a very good experience. course was in excellent condition from tee to green, the greens were a tad off, but with our game that was not a problem.will definitely play again.
great price, the green's on the front nine were a bit worn, clearly critters run across them , the back nine were perfect. The T boxes were in poor shape, so I ended up using a tee even on the par 3.s
My New Local Course
Overall I liked playing the course. It's definitely starting to look like fall there. There are a lot of trees, but they don't hinder play at all. It has some very challenging holes laid out throughout the 18 holes. The greens are in good shape and rolling true and somewhat quick. I definitely plan on going back again, especially if this weather holds out longer.
Great course.. some greens are showing signs of wear with bare spots and dried grass. The fairways were in great shape. I like the real sand in the bunker, very nice. I will definitely play again. Staff was friendly.
Great course for the money....greens soft and manicured...some very challenging holes overall you won't be disappointed with this course
Great layout but greens are in fair condition
We were really surprised by the green conditions at the coarse. They all have a significant number of large gouges/ballmarks. After the first few holes I really got tired of fixing ballmarks. I would not pay their prime time tee price with greens in this condition. Fairways were good condition, but numerous sand traps had no sand and were hard packed dirt. They were very hard to get out of with their high lips. Pro shop and restaurant staff were great . I hope Teal Bend will address these issue as the course is a great layout.
Good course along the Sacramento River.
The usual good outing at Teal Bend, but they had recently aerated the greens without notification to the public (that I knew of) so they were not in good shape. Still, with good weather, Teal is a fun course for recreational golfers.
