Heron Lakes Golf Course

The course was very wet as it had rained a lot. Very tight little course. The guy on the front desk was welcoming but had some views about non golf topics that left a 'did he really say that ' feeling. I was playing with my daughter and he left both of us feeling uncomfortable.

This was a easy day with easy play on a somewhat narrow course. I tried hitting my driver but the course is very narrow and I had to safely go to the floor I am off the Teebox. I was matched up with another player who called himself the hacker however we were both pretty evenly matched. The pace was very nice no back up at any hole. I purchased this round of golf now and I was greeted by the man in the pro shop who sent me on my wrongs pretty quickly. I decided to walk the course since it had rained pretty hard the day before. I think this is a great course for working on Your iron play.

Good golf weather in the middle of December - you've got to love living in TX to enjoy golf at this time of year. Heron Lakes does a great job of letting you play a fast round of golf (2.5-3.0 hours) with a challenging layout.

I especially like that the Golf course management is accepting toys for foster children in need. What a great idea. It shows that the golf course embraces the meaning of Christmas and sharing with others who are not as fortunate.

We normally play from the whites but this course is so short we played from the tips. Fairways are extra skinny.

Short executive type course. Good for working on short game. Great for seniors losing distance to have a comfortable round. Fun course, no great expectations. Nice people working there.

I usually play this course when i want a quick fix. A lot of iron play, tight fairways and decent greens.

Love this course. Great for my son and I to get a round in and work on the game. Par 65 has a good mix of challenging par 3 and 4. Love that it has very few sand bunkers, if any but water and the woods still create plenty of hazards to avoid. Also fairly tight fairways to keep score honest

It’s not a long course but you have to make the shots. The course is in pretty good condition and as always, the staff is awesome.

I have played this course in the past and the greens conditions have improved a lot. Very challenging course which will test your accuracy and putting.

Greens were in poor condition and staff member in the pro shop was not friendly at all. Would not recommend this course.

Fairways narrow and need work.

Greens in bad shape.. can’t putt without golf ball rolling like a pin ball.

You can pay same amount for much better course.

I liked the course, Not too difficult but water hazards and greens make up for very hit-able fairways. Green conditions were atrocious and hard, but the whole course was extremely hard so take that with a grain of salt. You get what you pay for... but I would play here again.

Not much to say about this course. Very slow pace of play. Not much in the way of a Pro shop. The fairways were well maintained and the course was fairly easily. But my God do the greens suck. It wasn’t the read you had to worry about. It was all of the bumps on the green, making the ball jump around.

This course is narrow, good for training how to hit straight and accurate, reckless golfers will learn what the real meaning of the golf is, and will lose balls.

The quality of the course was terrible. The greens were in very bad shape. I couldn't even tell when I was on the green or in the fairway. They were so bumpy that your putts went of the path. The address listed on the website leads you to the back of a hotel. I would not reccomend this course to anybody!
