One of my favorites.
All three nines are great. They are in the process of upgrading the bunkers which does effect play. But those finished are very nice.
When you find Grapevine on Golf Now....
You need to go play....Great Golf Course and always well maintained. Great variety of holes - all three nines are fun to play!
Course is in great shape!
Played the Bluebonnet/Mockingbird combination at 12:50pm yesterday. Finished in under 4 hours even though we caught up to a couple of groups on the back 9. Greens are in fantastic shape and are running fast...just wish I could make a putt. Great time out on a great course.
Great Course!!
From the moment we got to the course until we left it was an awesome round of golf. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the food excellent and the course in great shape.
What a day and place for golf.
Grapevine Muni
Course was great as always. Greens were perfect!
Always a good time.
The most beautiful and enjoyable golf course
It has very beautiful golf course and very good nature environment surrounded by woods and creek.
Great course
Overwhelming surprised by the course conditions! A very well maintained and beautiful course that I have not played in some time! Great layout and great condition for a public course. It compares well to some private courses that are around the Dfw area!!!
Graoevine Mickingbird/Pecan
Beautiful, tough course. Greens bumpy due to maintenance, but still a great place. Until the rain came but its Texas... (smiles)
Nice
Great Coarse, I enjoyed the layout and greens were in great condition
Very nice track!
Got a deal via Golf Now and always wanted to play here since I'd heard great place. Wasn't disappointed and will play again,,.
Fun course
Dispite an unfriendly staff and a range that will mess with your depth perception, Grapevine GC was a lot of fun and a challenge from the tips.
always a fun round at Grapevine
One negative - it was 100 degrees and playing in the shadow of the dam it was HUMID. Positives - fun layout. Lots of angles to tees/fairways. Lots of water. Great greens. Played Mockingbird/Pecan combo. Pecan is kinda quirky, but still fun. Played in 3:35. Used a late notice special to play for about a cart fee. I like playing here in the fall better, but summer is still enjoyable and the course is in great shape. I wonder if the course knows they have a 5 foot alligator gar on the MBird 9? Lots of carp, catfish, and Bass in the ponds and stream as well. Too bad you can't fish it.....:(
Mockingbird & Pecan Course Review
Overall this course was a challenge. The recent weather prevented them from mowing the course. But still was in good shape considering the extra length of grass on the tee boxes and rough. I would go back and play again....
Take my money!
This is the course that I learned to play golf on during the summers growing up. Years later I still find myself coming back to play because it is just that nice of a course. The course is in great shape, and for the deals you can get on here it's unbeatable in my opinion. Pace of play is good, great views, great elevation changes, and a great challenge for the average golfer. Highly recommend!
A real treat
This course is not only really well laid out but it's quite challenging and I truly enjoyed my round.
Beautiful and Challenging
Great Layout. Good deal for the money. Only negative is the noise, in and out from dfw airport. One of the nicest courses in D F W. Bloody Marys are delicious.
NIce track on hotdeal
I would play this course every weekend for $40 or less. Seem to be overpriced at normal price levels. Hot deals and coupons are the way to go, but the I don't believe the staff is too keen on these deals. Oh well I will be back when the price is right. No complaints except that the staff seam to be a lil old school and golf is not the way it used to be. No need to wear my Sunday best and pay $100 a round that's ludicrous........Other than that the course was in pretty good shape greens rolled true and the bunkers were playable always a plus......
Challenging but enjoyable
Course & greens were in great shape. A portion of mockingbird under construction, improvements will be good.
Nice Course - Staff a HUGE turnoff!!
I rarely write reviews but had too to this time b/c I've played this course many times and, though I always enjoy the Golf, one constant persists - the clubhouse staff sucks!! Not sure what it is but you get the feeling that they're doing you a favor or you should be proud they're allowing you to play their course. I asked to be placed on their waiting list but wanted to hit a small bucket first. Attendant gave me the ticket w/range code and I proceeded to walk DOWN the hill only to find that the code was invalid. Hmmmmmm....walked back UP the hill to let them know. Attendant: "did you type the code on the machine facing the range or the one facing the parking lot"? Me: "the range" - Attendant: "this code is for the machine facing the parking lot". WHAT?!? Wouldn't it have been a good idea to tell me that before I made my trek?? So, on the way BACK DOWN to the range I hear "will XXX check in at the pro shop?" I make the U-turn BACK UP the hill - not sure what dude didn't understand about wanting to hit a small bucket of balls first......you know......warm up?? Gave him the range ticket back and he set me up with another group because the foursome scheduled for that time CANCELLED. Great but what does that have to do with me? Said he couldn't get me out again for another 1 1/2 hours - which was BS b/c the course wasn't crowded at all. In fact, there was a 5-some that tee'd off in front of our group and at least 2 other 5-somes a few groups ahead. This has happened before where I've put my name on list and waited 1-2 hours before getting paired - while watching 2 and 3-somes teeing off!! As for the course, it's bounced back since the storms of 2015 and I always enjoy playing. They've raised their fees too (likely the result of a few other area courses closing/still under flood damage). Tee'd off at about 9:45 and finished the round after 2p!! Love the course but for $43 to walk and a close to 5-hr round, I'll take my chances elsewhere next time.
