Course has bounced back well after the flood
Scored a deal on GolfNow, so value was definitely there. Following the floods that devastated this course, it is amazing how well it has recovered. Only 1 hole on Mockingbird was using a temp tee... Seeing the bathroom half-flipped over was crazy! As for the staff, we arrived 30 mins prior to tee time and the guy running the desk essentially demanded that we fill a gap, rather than play at our assigned time. When I mentioned we weren't quite ready (had a call for work to tend to), he became frustrated and said that we'd have to wait since we didn't go early. Hollow threat, as we never waited and finished under 3 hours as a 2some.
Nice course and price
It was good to play with such a good deal.
Decent course but rude staff
Only reason I play the course is convenience. Good layout but the staff is BAD. They think the course is way better then it is. The staff is what really turns me off about this place. It has potential for a great golf destination but the prices are a little high for the quality of the course.
Very Good
Considering it was January 3rd, and a week after heavy rain hit the DFW area, the course was in great condition. I was a little displeased that a 5 some had stopped at the turn to drink beer and then jump in front of us when they decided to return to the course. I thought the Pro Shop Staff could of been a little friendlier, you kind of got the feeling you were bothering them when you checked in. Other than that, I'll be back!
Great public coiurse
Great course for the money. Pace of play was well managed.
great time
it was "cart path only" and the views of the washed out destruction from earlier storms ...was stunning. Would definitely play the course again. No GPS on carts
27 Holes - A Fair Test of Golf
Grapevine is a fair test. Played under wet conditions and found the course and especially the greens to be in very good shape. I ended up hitting every club in my bag so there are a variety of shots that you need to be able to hit. It's fun to play with nice scenery. Once they get their carts with GPS I can't think of a better place for the price.
nice layout
I really like the layout of this course. Played Pecan and Bluebonnet. I think B. Casper did a nice job in all aspects of the facility. Really has come back nicely since the big flood. Our only complaint is the pro shop staff/starters/managers etc.. Just a little overboard with jurisdiction and control, when a little common sense and genuine care would go a long way. Seems to be a real consensus on this among local players.
All day affair
I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I had my sister and her husband here from Houston and I had bragged about
the course and we tried to play and it took over 5 hours and we did not even play the whole 18 holes as we had to go around two holes to try and finish. the supposed "marshall" and I use the word loosely said they were not aware of the problem which was a lie as we had already told the people in the office about it after a almost 3 hour first nine holes. I will not be back again and I have done nothing but apologize to my sister for what was
a horrible experience at what used to be a great place to be able to enjoy a round of golf. I know this does not mean much to the golf management but it was a real travesty to golfers the
whole entire weekend and you can believe me when I say there are a lot of other nice golf courses that will get my money in the future. Larry Thomas
Always in Good Shape
Hard to beat Grapevine for quality golf. Would rather pay less than $50, but we keep going back because this is one of the top public courses in DFW. If they could ever figure out the 19th hole, they would have quite a venue.
Green are in really good condition
Overall, always a good course. 27 holes and the three diffent 9 hole layouts are fun to fun.
Personal
This course is average at best. The staff not very friendly, the condition of the Pro Shop was uninviting and did not offer anything of note worth purchasing. The presentation of the inventory was below average. Not worth the money and would not book again
Great place to spend a Sunday
My friends and I had a great time. The range was in good shape and the practice green was very close to the greens we faced on the course . The spacing of groups was good didn't have to wait on anyone and the group behind us never caught us. All in all great day.
Must play this course when in DFW area
Despise...the sorry customer services and seem like everyone behind the counter at this golf course got a bad manners. They never give a light of day about you or anyone. But peoples kept coming back because of the beautiful 3 golf course there. love the courses, services very bad.
Pecan-BlueBonnet Grapevine Municipal Golf Course
We had a great round and were very impressed with how good the fairways, greens and really entire course looked and played especially for the end of summer. Great value.
Grapevine Golf Course
Course was in good shape. Group in front of us playing from back tees and had no business being there. Keep play slow all day--5+ hours.
Best value in DFW
I've played this course a few times and it's always very nice. For the money and it being the middle of the summer the course is in pretty dang good shape. They have 3 9 hole courses which is nice because it's always a surprise which 2 you're going to get to play.
Play this if you get the chance.
Nice public course
This is a nice course with 3 nine hole courses that they rotate for an 18 hole and a 9 hole experience. We played the Pecan and the Bluebonnet courses for our 18 holes. For a public course, it was in good shape. The only issue is during summer, after 1200, the heat and humidity can wear you out quickly. This is below the grapevine lake dam, so wind is blocked on half the holes.
