Should be really nice When they finish all the repairs
Very annoying that I called the pro shop before I booked the tee time and asked if all the holes were open they informed me that they were. However, when I got there 18 was still closed. The course is definitely looking better than it did a month ago and I look forward to playing it when they are finished with all the repairs.
Under Construction
I understand courses need work. However closing 3 holes to fix sand traps that could have been done in a slower season like winter doesn’t make much sense while still charging full price. No getting to play 1-3 again to compensate doesn’t fix it. Kind of a bummer.
I'm glad I only paid $40 instead of the full price of $80!
I'm glad I only paid $40 instead of the full price around $80! Before booking they should tell you that 5 holes are closed and most of the bunkers are under repair and not playable.
Then as I'm hitting my approach shot at hole 9 some guy with a clipboard wanted my name and tee time? Usually the staff is very friendly but the girl in the pro shop that checked me in gave the impression that I was interrupting whatever she was doing on her phone. The girls in the bar/restaurant were very courteous and friendly. Next time I'll call before I book and make sure the course is back to normal. This is usually one of my favorites courses to play and I play around 40 rounds a year.
Windy
Had a great time, working on some bunker and closed 10,15,16 but it was fine. Fast pace staff is very friendly!! Nice carts greens in good shape!!
sand bunkers under construction
great course. An update is taking place on the sand bunkers. adding and changing them around. adding beautiful fluffy white sand! it will be amzaing when it is finished this summer.
Nice course
Course in good shape but somewhat difficult causing slow play. Bunkers need some work. Greens and fairways are excellent.
Great Course
The Course was in good shape. The rough was thicker and more penalizing than I remember it being in the past - but I guess I shouldn't hit it there. Staff is awesome - this is just a well run course. Definitely highly recommended.
Conflicting emotions due to pace of play.
Very nice course. I really enjoyed the layout. The front nine went as planned - 2 hours long. The back nine was another world. 3 hours to finish! Rare marshal in place to assist in pace of play. The 18th took us 31 minutes because the people in front of us took over 15 minutes looking for their balls off their tee shot alone and it seemed each person took a mulligan each. I'll go back, but I'll have my fingers crossed a marshal is around every now and then to control the pace.
Great Day
From the starter Mike (great guy), to the rest of the staff, wow. Super nice. Course played great. Everything was it great shape except a few spots in the fairways and around the greens that were being worked on. A little pricey but I really enjoyed the day. Greens roles true. I’d play here anytime I return to Lubbock.
