Great course
The new upgrades to this course have made a massive difference. It really is now up there with the very best of Dublin's courses. Greens are extremely good and the course is in super shape. I would really recommend it.
Major Transformation
Elmgreen has gone through a major transformation. I hadn’t played it in a few years and was happy to see that the fairways and greens are much improved and in great shape. The Clubhouse renovations are excellent with a new pro shop, bar & restaurant and locker room. Great job, well done!
Cracking course
First time to play since the course was upgraded. Some of the greens are fantastic, so hard to read with some great slopes.
The only downside was some fork marks on the greens and overall the course could do with some signage.
What a transformation
The course and clubhouse are completely unrecognisable from this time last year.
The golf course is in fantastic condition and the greens are the best they have ever been.
The Clubhouse is now somewhere you would actually want to visit after your round with a new pro shop, bar & restaurant and locker rooms.
Has to be seen to be believed.
Great value for money
Elmgreen has gone through a real "face lift" over the past few years. I have been playing here since 2011, and it has come a long way during this time - yet prices are still very reasonable.
It's not your longest track, and it is par 70, so keep your expectations reasonable. It's a relative easy layout, so you have a chance to score low, and pretty much have fun while playing golf - what is not to like about that..
Poor Bunkers, Very Slow Greens
Poor Bunkers with no sand in them meant thinned shots after the club bounced off the surface,, Very slow greens, needed a cut and a roll, not the course's fault but there was a 4 ball stinking the place out acting like they were playing a Ryder Cup, we were two 3 balls behind them with a 5-10 minute wait on every tee. We joined up as a 6 ball for final 8 holes and were still waiting on them on each hole. Course could have a lad in a buggy watching the pace of play.
Won't be back
Other players
We were behind a women match play, who held us up from the 4th until the 9th, at which point one of them marchers telling us that we are not allowed to continue with our round. The staff were very fair and said we can play the front again and to call into the clubhouse and he sorted us with a free 4ball.
Greens too much sand
Course was good just too much sand on the putting greens and was very very slow couldn't judge the putts
Good day out
The improvement to the first hole adds to the course. Greens were very good on the day and course well maintained. Bunkers could be better. Enjoyed
great for beginners
Great for beginners has good tree line not to short but not long either
Good parkland golf.
Nice course with enough variety of holes to keep you interested. Greens were sanded on day, so can't help you there. Basic but good quality facilities. Some slow play on course. Overall great place for a round at Great value.
bEAUTIFUL SETTING
really enjoyed playing nice course and well kept. Lots of challenges
Elmgreen gc
what a course to play, iv only heard people talking about this course, it's definitely worth a try all undulating greens, and in perfect condition to, a fabulous golf course, another hidden gem, I'd definitely go back to play it again,
Elm Green golf club
course in good condition, but we were held up on every hole twoballs on every tee. it would have been quicker if players had paired up.
good course
The course was a good medium course, the fairways were very good, the rough was well done, easy enough using irons, but could not use a wood. Does take good course managment
elm green sunday
nice course in good condition especially after heavy rainfall day before so bunkers not in play, still awaiting new first hole which looks well and due to open in new year ,paired up on day with a member who knew way round course otherwise would probably have gotten lost ,very slow all day finished last two holes in dark delighted not to lose ball just trust instict as to where ball landed
Disappointing - needs work
First hole not in play. Card was printed on A4 paper; had to fold it; very awkward. Course in poor general condition; long grass everywhere; greens covered with leaves and pitch marks. I still enjoyed my game but I will give this course a miss in future.
Handy Public course
When considering it is a public course you have to say Elm Green does what it says on the tin. The greens can occasionally be poor but today they were fine. As a public course there is frequently slow play and other players with poor etiquette. The course appears to be under redesign so a small par 3 has been crammed in to replace holes closed at present. Some interesting holes that could do with being renumbered as the current sequence does not make a lot of sense.
good test
Coarse was in good condition , would recommend to high handicap golfers
Nice course but slow play
Nice course in great setting day ruined by eight idiots sharing 4 sets of clubs why allow them on the course?
