Tiburon
What a great golf course, played the Black Course while the LPGA CME Globe were on the Gold Course.
Put it on your list!
A bit disappointed
Layout great. Greens seemed very inconsistent and 18th green was a mess and unplayable—
Nice but design not up to hype
The facilities and setting are beautiful and to a high standard. Very good service. In general, the course is in great conditions, if not because the greens had recently been aerated and could have taken a week or two more to be in top shape. I was not informed, and I was charged the regular rate.
With all the hype the course has with the televised PGA, champions, and LPGA tournaments; and by having played PGA Tour’s Mayakakoba El Camaleon, and other Norman’s courses; design-wise, playing from the white tees (handicap 17) I found El Tiburón Black dull, unmemorable, and unchallenging; as so, overpriced, if not for the hype and grand facilities.
I had been told that there are other much interesting courses in the vicinity at better rates. So now I know and believe it’s likely.
Spectacular Course
Beautifully maintained and challenging course. Lovely property veal with friendly staff.
Nice course, friendly staff
Played black course for first time today and found it fair and enjoyable. Staff was excellent, communicative and friendly in every encounter.
Conditions were outstanding. Course is in great shape. Greens were fast and true and relatively unsubtle with their breaks.
We’ll be back!
Putting on the Ritz
Great time, very friendly staff. We’ll be back
Tiburon Black...A giid...not great course
The staff is fantastic, with a great level of service. The course was pretty flat. There was quite a bit of sand and water, but it was easy to avoid. Greens were fairly fast. Course was in excellent condition. I thought the grass on the fringes and aprons was a bit short...it was difficult to get a club under the ball, so I used me putter after a couple of holes. Not a challengcourse. If you stay straight, you can score well.
Discounted rate is misleading
Played course on discounted rate teeing off at 3 pm for 18 holes. Sunset 6:20 pm. With only 3:20 minutes to play 18 had to try to play fast, which made round feel rushed. Had to skip a hole to get in front of slow group to play 17 out of 18. In my opinion course is not worth cost of $160 for late pm tee time discounted from $250.
