First time playing and won’t be the last!
This was a tough summer to keep golf courses in great shape and Grand Lake was similarly affected. But as a first time player I overlooked that and instead was very impressed with the course’s topography and layout. Very impressed! As Arnold said…”I’ll be back!”
Great greens!
Course is through mostly wooded area, for the lack of rain the greens were great, fairways decent. No clubhouse, make sure you have what you needs for drinks and snacks. Longer course than I remembered. Good elevations.
Grand Lake Estates
Great course. I am sure it will continue to improve. The location is beautiful. The tee boxes could use a little improvement and I need a driving range/warm up area. But overall it’s a nice place.
Best kept secret no more
Time to get a better review than those over one year. I’ve played this course several times - from its beginnings until now. Yes, the club house is in the cart barn and refreshments are what you bring. But you can bring what you want since they don’t have a liquor license. Yes, they don’t have a driving range but what are you going to do with all those old trash golf balls in your garage? Use ‘em off the first tee into the woods! Great layout but no roving marshal means long rounds due to slow players. And the secret is out - this place did not Jack their prices up like others did during and after COVID. They’re the same as 15 years ago! So if you want to see gorgeous houses and have a challenging round of golf, just come here to have some fun. Leave your persnickety opinions, bring your buddies, and just play golf on the cheap!
Hard course
Greens roll really fast. Difficult course if you don't know the layout. No practice range available. It was a cold day, but it was still slow.
Easter golf
Really enjoy this course even with wet conditions. Pace of play was great never felt rushed even letting singles pass as we played as threesome. Very lucky this was part of GolfNow
Waste of time and money
Dont waste your time. Staff are children who make mistakes you will literally pay for. Management, GWEN, specifically is in the wrong profession as she tops the ignorance cake. They swiped my card AND charged me 3 times for 1 round of golf for 2 people. I payed 240.00 for 1 round of golf. They acknowledged the mistake and GWEN asked me to send bank statements and proof it was charged 3 times. I did so it was 3 seperate charges for the exact amount of 2 peoples green/cart fees. It said on the transaction that it was grand lake estates golf club who took out the money 3 times. GWEN then informed me it wasnt enough proof to refund my money and since she couldnt find record of it in her computer her exact qords were " I DONT CARE". They charge you 240.00 dollars for 1 round of a sub-par course and then tell you oh well. Much better courses for the same price and they wont stral from you. Boycott this club, they are the exact place and staff you dont want to deal with to have a relaxing day on the course.
