River Crossing Golf Club
About
River Crossing Golf Club is a private course offering 18 holes of championship golf nestled in the serene beauty of the Texas Hill Country, less than 20 minutes from San Antonio. Players at River Crossing enjoy panoramic views in a quiet, country setting.
Most fairways at River Crossing Golf Club are lined with trees and not as open as they might appear. The golf course has plenty of water including one island type green. River Crossing G.C. has lots of elevations with some slope on fairways. The greens are generally large and the tiffgrass provides plenty of speed. This golf course is attracting lots of local tournaments and that's a good indicator of how well area golfers like it. If you get a chance to play golf at River Crossing, do so.

class operation
great course
awesome greens
challenging
friendly staff
cold beer..................................................
Course was in great shape
The greens were pretty hard and fast. But in great shape. Enjoyed my round.
Challenging Course
Golf course starts out pretty open, but than it gets tight after hole #3. Overall, the course is tuff with ball placement off the tee box critical. I hate courses that after you still hit a solid drive, you get penalized. Several fairways of this course are designed this way. If you're new to the course, it would be difficult. After you have played it a few times, you will know where and where not to hit the ball.
Very enjoyable.
Maintained course with just a great atmosphere. Very nice views and nice practice facility.
Enjoyed the course, played with a member.
Greens were very good and course was in very good condition. Member gave me tips on playing each hole, some need strategy. Played first 9 in 1 1/2 hours but a little longer on back nine when we caught up to others. Enjoyed it so much I played the front nine again.
Excellent golfing experience in all ways
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Very good lunches and buffet. Nice course layout that rquired good shotmaking and use of all clubs. Greens were excellent and rolled very true.
For the cost, a very nice course.
The staff was very good from the young men that took our bags almost out of the trunk for us, to the lady at the halfway house. The greens were in very good shape, although could be quicker. As a first time player, a quick hole chart would have been nice. Overall an extremely nice club for the value.
Awesome course
This has become my favorite course in San Antonio over the past several months. Great carts, good grass on the driving range, nice fairways and nice greens... Not to mention the beautiful Texas hill country scenery.
Great variety of holes.
The rate I paid was a great value. The course was in good shape. I enjoy playing there every year.
Beautiful well manicured course.
The course had great views, elevation change manicured fairways and great greens.
This course is challenging but plays fair
The pace of play was slow at times because we had 5 players in front of us.
scenic course north of san antonio
course was in good shape and greens were in great condition....caught twilight rate and well worth the money.....pace of play was good considering the crowd on a friday afternoon....will play again soon
A very enjoyable experience.
A great experience start to finish. The staff was friendly and helpful from the time we arrived in the parking lot until we walked out the door. Plenty of practice balls were available to warm up and a large well maintained practice green for putting. The course itself was excellent, a few easy holes, some not so easy, and a few difficult ones to keep you on your toes. We couldn't have had a better day playing golf. I would go play there "in a minute." wonderful time!
Fun course
I've played this course several times and I always enjoy the challenge of the holes. Several fairly difficult holes with equal amount of straight and easy ones. A challenge for both a beginner and the experienced player.
Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Very nice facilities.
Course is always in great shape, excellent practice range and putting greens, just replace with new range balls. Great value on clubhouse food.
No cart girl
This is a fun course to play. Even from the tips it's not too long. Greens are in good shape and course is maintained well. They could use a beverage cart though. I got really hungry waiting to tee off on #3 and I was starving by the turn.
Great Deal
Best deal on Golf Now. Paid $30 for a round. Better price than city courses in San Antonio and much better condition.
Decent course but improvements needed.
Club house and staff is great. Tee boxes and greens are in good shape. Fairways leave a lot to be desired. My guess is the drought has really hurt this course.
Course is interesting with each hole having a unique design. Very enjoyable!!
Conditions were great. Grass was dormant, yet both roughs and fairways were very playable. Greens stuck well and ran true. Some interesting optical illusions on reading putts.
One of the nicer courses I have played in San Antonio
Greens excellent condition and challenging to read. Fairways nicely over seeded and almost could be called "lush" for this time of the year.. Pleasing to the eye and fairly challenging. People were great.
