River Crossing Golf Club
About
River Crossing Golf Club is a private course offering 18 holes of championship golf nestled in the serene beauty of the Texas Hill Country, less than 20 minutes from San Antonio. Players at River Crossing enjoy panoramic views in a quiet, country setting.
Most fairways at River Crossing Golf Club are lined with trees and not as open as they might appear. The golf course has plenty of water including one island type green. River Crossing G.C. has lots of elevations with some slope on fairways. The greens are generally large and the tiffgrass provides plenty of speed. This golf course is attracting lots of local tournaments and that's a good indicator of how well area golfers like it. If you get a chance to play golf at River Crossing, do so.

18th at River Crossing Photo submitted by Robert9887468 on 03/17/2013
River Crossing has some really good holes that have interest
We have played this course 3 or 4 times and it is a good layout and it is reasonably close to my home. It has a few challenging holes that have a reasonably tight fairways, but for the most part, the fairways are somewhat spacious in the landing areas. The greens were somewhat undulating, and admittedly, a challenge for me to putt.
The staff is very friendly and willing to assist whatever your needs and questions.
I recommend it for all level of players, just pick the right tee box for your game.
Great Course
I played this course on March 16, 2013. The fairways were still a little brown from the winter but the greens were in excellent shape. This course is great for players of all skill levels with wide fairways and large greens but also has some very challenging par three holes. My only complaint is that the pace of play was a little slow and I got stuck behind a twosome who refused to allow us to play through even though no one was in front of them. But overall it was a great experience especially for the cost.
River Crossing in Spring Branch
Some of the best greens I have ever played. Well designed Hill Country course with first class features. We played in March while bermuda was still dormant. Looking forward to spring when everything turns green. 30 mile drive from 1604 I-10 area. Very scenic golf course. Finishing holes are downhill and usually downwind. Highly recommend River Crossing.
Well maintained even during the winter months.
Course is a private club but allow outsiders to play. Difficult to walk on so I would suggest you make a tee time. Rates are kind of high, I recommend getting your 41% off on GolfNow. Price includes cart, unlimited practice balls, chipping green, putting gree. Greens are well kept, fast, and challenging.
Great greens
Course was in good shape. Better than the other San Antonio courses available. Greens were some of the best I have played on ever. Fairways and rough need a little work but overall ok.
Great Experience
A very nice practice facility, beautiful club house, a friendly staff, a very enjoyable experience.
Course Immaculate
This course goes far beyond staff friendliness. Fairways are beautifully maintained and the green are in pristine condition. Can't wait to play this course in summer.
Very nice course. Good value.
Very nice course. Good value. Carts and course are well maintained. Nice practice facility.
Smooth, fast, greens
Beautiful hill country course with something for everyone...No need to blast away with the driver, can hit a variety of shots from most tees and the greens are better right now than I have ever seen on this course. (Have been playing it since opening).
Take a short trip north of San Antonio and you won't be disappointed.
Appreciate access to the driving range included in the greens fee
Brought my son in law to River Crossing while he was visiting me from New York. I had played River Crossing before so knew it would be a great experience on a well maintained course. As in the past, I (we) had a memorable day and looking forward to possibly playing there again next week if time permits before he leaves. I intend on returning with my regular golf buddies as well in the future.
Great place to play
Super friendly staff from Pro Shop to Marshall.
We played a great round, pace of play was standard for 18, about 4hrs.
Course was in great shape for winter conditions, fairways were yellow, but the greens are in excellent shape.
We're a group of six visiting SA for about a week, we planned on playing a few courses during our visit but have already booked our tee time for River Crossing for tomorrow.
With the Golfnow discounted rates we might be playing this course all week.
Also we had a quick meal before our round and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
Must Play
Enjoy the course. Great value and alot of fun. Must Play!
Enjoyable course to play
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from the moment we pulled into the parking lot until we putted out on 18. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The course was fair with many tee locations to give every golfer a choice to match their ability. The greens were very smooth and rolled true. I will definitely recommend this course to my friends.
Thanks,
Bruce
Always in good condition
even in January, this course id in great condition. When I stepped onto the practice green, I thought for a moment that they had installed artificial grass, no lie! The course greens also in fantastic condition.
This course does not get a lot of rounds played, and it shows. Always superior fairways and greens. Personnel were filling divots as I played. Not much hardpan in an area which should have it.
friendly staff. nice course. great greens
staff was very friendly and helped me get hooked up with another twosome. course was dormant and brown, but very playable.. greens fast and tricky but great! great value on golfnow!
Course is a great layout
Not many added features to your round but greens are always in great condition and the layout allows for plenty of different club choices and thought provoking shots. Fun track to play, easy to get to, and on golf now, worth every penny.
Great course value! Well maintained!
Love playing here! Just wish they wouldn't let members play in a five some.
Scenic course with great design and amazing greens
River Crossings is a fun challenging course with beautiful hill country scenery. The greens are firm and fast so you better bring your A game with the flat stick. The overseed went well so the course is in great shape. Only advice is dont play on Wednesday becuase the members mens league takes up much of the course and the pace is slow.
