Beautiful !! Photo submitted by LonneyJay14 on 12/05/2013
Not too much to complain about. The course is in pretty good shape. The only suggestion I have would be to fix some of the tee boxes.
Great layout, plush fairways and greens!
Great course, only experienced 9 holes on the front but can tell it’s a gem. Looking forward to coming back at some point. Glad I made the last second trip out despite not being able to finish up.
Solid choice for enjoyable golf
This is an underrated and very good course for senior & intermediate golfers. Relatively easy to score well and not excessively long. Course and greens are usually in pretty good shape although greens on this occasion we’re a little bit slow. Tee boxes are sometimes not in the best shape but they seem to be getting better. Staff is super friendly and the pace of play is usually pretty good.
Tee boxes
Course was in OK condition. They had sanded the greens?!? The tee boxes were horrible
Fun for all levels
I do love the layout of this course. You can score very easily from the blue tees with a lot of shorter par 5’s. I would recommend for the single digit handicap to play the tips. Tee boxes are hammered and need to be leveled and renewed. New sand would also improve the experience in the traps. I will play here many more times when I need to shoot low to help confidences. Staff is excellent.
Wildhawk
We teed of at 0700z. The pace of play was excellent! And the course was in pretty good shape. Especially for February.
Wide fairways
Bunkers had shallow sand, challenging doglegs
Great weather & pace on a good course
Wildhawk is an underrated course; - not an overly difficult course, but most of it is in good condition, and the greens are very good. Tee boxes are the biggest issue. Many of them are in poor condition and worse not level. If they fix this one thing it would make a big difference. During the summer, they must have some irrigation leaks because the it will be wet in some areas but this time it was perfect since they’re not actively watering. Like any golf course pace of play can be a problem but today it was excellent. This is an excellent course for those that are not looking for a difficult challenge.
Really sad
I used to play this course all the time in the 90s. Even though you don’t expect to Pebble Beach in Roseville, it always had a great layout, and was easy on the wallet. Now, the layout is just as easy to play and picturesque, but every single fairway is burned out and hard pan between every tea and green. Yes, we are in a drought. But it looks like the course hasn’t been properly maintained literally in years. Packed enough with people there though to pay the bills, so not sure why everything was so rundown. Even the driving range mats were beat up. The layout is so nice though, I’d go again if it was much cheaper, but it’s ridiculous playing on Sawgrass all day. For almost 100 bucks between two guys with a cart, we can do much better in this city. So Ken Diamond Oaks.
They get it
The course and the people. They understand it’s a game, and is there for enjoyment.
Just a pleasure to play.
