1757 Golf Club
About
Located just a few minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport, 1757 Golf Club is one of northern Virginia's most popular courses. The name comes from the same year that Loudoun County was founded. The golf course is definitely a shot-maker's layout with a diverse terrain that has elevation changes up to 30 feet. There are several risk-reward opportunities as well. Well positioned tee shots will be generously rewarded with accessible approach shots but if you're errant, you'll have to deal with a tough recovery. The golf course is fairly tight so accuracy is a necessity. There are also water hazards on 14 holes and the rough can also be punishing. 1757 Golf Club finishes with an intimidating par 3 that plays over water to a shallow green. You'll need a bold stroke to avoid a watery grave.

Course layout leads to slow play
1757 is overall average in my opinion. The problem is with 14 holes with water in play it slows down pace, and as a result leads to a lot of lost balls and a slow round. I’ve played worse but this still isn’t a place I’d recommend for someone looking for a round of golf. Their practice facility is top notch though. I’ve also heard rumors 1757 is going private.
Love the course layout but if I’m being honest it’s way too expensive for what you get..Very old gas carts, no seasonal prices for tee times, and no free small bucket before the round. With tee times that pricey you’d think a small bucket for a warmup would be obvious. They also raised the prices for driving range buckets for less balls.. Truth is they know they can get away with it bc there aren’t too many other choices when it comes to “above” average public courses in Ashburn. I’ve never had any issues with the proshop or restaurant staff and the practice facilities are excellent but when it comes to on the course and the “marshalls” it’s bs when you compare the price especially during the winter months. I say all of this to say, I’m still playing here and will continue to do so (because it is a quality course) I just think they can do better based on what they charge.
Nice layout
I choose 1757 for my birthday golfing course and It was first time I played there. I thought It’s pretty flat landscape so I was optimistic and assumed that I can play well but I was wrong there are several holes that are incorporated with water and few holes that you have to layup. it wasn’t as easy as I originally thought to play. but overall we had fun and enjoyed challenging course. I will definitely going back again.
Challenging course
Course really tests your iron play. Pace of play was bad and no Marshall’s to steer the crowd. Lot of repairs underway so lot of bald spots as well.
Good Shape
Course is in decent shape. The greens have come back after being airated about a month ago. Fairways are in good shape and I’d say they are about 50% done with all their bunker overhauls. The ones that are updated have brand new sand in them. All in all for $60 for walking on a Monday it’s good value.
Top Notch
I’ve played every public and semi-public course in the greater DC area. 1757 stands out as one of the best. The course was absolutely beautiful; I had to take a step back every few holes and take it all in. Every single staff member I encountered were delightful and helpful. From check-in, to the starter, to the bartender, and the frequent beverage cart, everyone was top notch. The greens were perfect. The pro shop was fully stocked, and the 19th hole drinks did not break the wallet. Best day of golf I’ve had in quite some time, even though I shanked a few. I can’t wait to come back and play here again. Simply outstanding. The 18th at 1757 is a new favorite hole for this golfer.
Nice course despite the short yardage on the card. Tee boxes a little beat up, fairways excellent, greens recently punched but average reception and roll.
Requires some shot making and penalized bad shots.
Front nine bunkers being rebuilt but will be worth it as the sand in the back nine is soft and quality.
