Very, Very Challenging Hole Photo submitted by fryersroost on 05/08/2013
Potential that completely misses
Course has great potential but is terrible. 9 holes open, 3 make shift greens out of those 9 open holes, and a 4.5 hr round with 3 people. Rough
DO NOT COME HERE
Awful experience. The course is in horrible shape… pretty much unplayable. You’ll spend more time driving trying to find a hole that isn’t under repair then you will actually playing.
all you can play...is the only good thing
course is way out of whack...don't slip on the moss growing on side walk ...they are working on it but it is suffering greatly in the process...will try it again when work is done...9 hole scattered randomly and play all you want for 25$ is good deal for practice maybe just don't expect a real round at all. no crowds is a plus...hopefully this doesn't put them out of business because I do like the course!
SERIOUSLY watch were you step the moss from crazy watering is super slick!!!
No water and he told us we couldn't take a cooler...NOT COOL
Half the Course Is Shut Down
When I booked the tee time there was nothing that said that half of the golf course was closed. They claimed in the pro shop that they had suffered some damage to the course from the freeze, but the freeze was 6 months ago, are you kidding me???? The two sad things that I have to say about this course is that 1. it's a course that I have really enjoyed playing in the past and 2. I drove 50 miles from my home to get there, just to find out that there were only nine holes open!!!
Awful Course Conditions
We did not know, until we got there (after we already paid) that the course was under repair. They only had 9 holes available for play, and some of those holes had a temporary green. The conditions were awful. We should have been made aware of the condition of the course prior to play. In my opinion, this course, right now, SHOULD NOT be listed on golfnow. We paid way too much to play under these conditions.
Don’t Play Here, Not Worth It
1/2 holes can’t play so you have to play the same 9 twice. 5/9 of the holes you can play have temporary greens that are small circles. The fairways look terrible. Worst experience I’ve had at a golf course. This place should not be open right now
BAD BUSINESS
The course is burnt up tee boxes, fairways and greens, they tell you nothing when makeing reservations or taking full green fees knowing the course is in unplayable condition. Played 9 holes and left. Don't do as we did and ruin your whole day after a hard week at work, book somewhere else.
Goat Ranch
I have played this course several times in the past and it was in good shape, but not any more. The greens and fairways are have more brown grass then green, it's not very well kept at all. It was actually depressing how bad this golf course was, It was so bad we left after just playing 9 holes. No way they should be charging so much to play this course. Don't waste your time or money.
Great pace of play in the Morning
The greens are TERRIBLE! You are basically putting on dirt. Wait until the greens are redone. The attached image is almost as good as it gets.
All the grass is dead
So unfortunate, but this course is unplayable. There is nothing but mud for greens. I have never in 40 years of golf around the world seen a course in such horrendous condition. I'm assuming that the harsh winter destroyed this course and I fear it will take years to recover.
Terrible shape, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I love playing this course normally but this was by far the worst course condition I've seen in years of any course. Greens were almost unputtable, fairways were ripped up, and they charged $30.00 when they honestly need to close completely and start over.
They have signs posted that they are closing down to 9 holes but neither 9 was in what I would call adequate shape.
Putting green
90% putting green is not able putt no grass dry mud all over had to stop playing.
Course Construction
Beginning the week of June 15 the course will be re-sodding several tee boxes where the grass was killed from the winter storm. On June 23 we will be closing 9 holes to replant grass on several of the greens. We apologize that this process has been delayed but because of all the rain in May we were unable to get grass delivered from the sod farms. This process will take 6 weeks to complete but we will have 9 holes open for play during this process. Rest assured were are doing everything we can to bring the course back to the conditions you expect and expect to have all 18 holes open for play again by the first week of August.
Damaged by nature
Course damage by nature. Greens have bare spots in numerous spots. Was still fast. Have played this course numerous time, always fun and challenging to play but its under the weather at the moment
