Not as good as usual
My wife and I were surprised to find the course was cart path only. It is very hilly and my wife doesn't like it when we can drive most places. Cart path only made it almost impossible for her to play and she quit after 6 holes. It was pretty full and took 5 hours to play. So, that was the bad. The good--great views, friendly people.
Rent a cart and had to walk very hole no certain fairway
Course needs some marshalling. At least ask golfers, when they arrive, to play at a reasonable pace. The party ahead of us would take 5 minutes to tee off. They would wonder looking for their lost balls and then take the opportunity to find other balls! Some tips on playing in a timely manner would be good. If you are not a big hitter, dont play from the Black tees. Try the White or Green Tee boxes.
Fun, challenging course
I have heard a lot of good things about this course, but it was the first time I played it. I have never played a course quite like it. The greens have a lot of dips and hills making them challenging, yet fun. Several of the greens are hidden behind a hill that requires a high chip shot to land them. Also challenging and fun. For a mountain course, the fairways are quite rolling, yet fairly wide. Overall, a great, unique course. Very fun to play.
Get it in the bowl
4 Mile is such a fun course! The routing is unconventional, with undulations and a few blind greens (that is definitely unnerving the first time you play) but it is SO FUN to play multiple times. I've heard the greens called 'Mickey Mouse greens' because many greens have multiple tiers or bowls: if you hit your approach in the right bowl, expect to be pretty close; if you don't, expect to be lucky to escape with a two-putt!
A favorite
Four Mile is unique and a wonderful play. Love this course.
October 1st 2023 Round
The course is one of our favorites among those out of town but nearby. The amenities are a little spartan, but if you want to play Four Mile, deal with it. I like the course very much. It will put you in your place, so bring your "A" game or prepare for a robust score card. This course is a much fun as the mountain courses up at altitude without the two hour drive to reach them.
Very fun
We played from the white tees. From there it is a great target golf course.
Leave the driver at home. It will just get you in trouble.
Great.course
Had a fantastic time playing 4 mile. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Can’t wait to play again.
played many times, a little slow that day and very warm. always a good time however!!
