Good course for the price
Was too crowded for the first 4 holes given how close they are together, people were driving all over across our fairways to play errant tee shots. In fairness it was Father’s Day so crowds were to be expected- but with some of the golfers that were out there- some of the holes felt borderline dangerous, may have to spread tee times out a little more.
Other than that, the course was beautiful, greens were great, a good course for the price.
Exceptional
First time playing. Best tee box I've played all year. Greens very smooth and not punched. You understand the naming of the course on the back nine... A lot of TIMBER and LAKES
Great course
Wide open front 9 with a narrow back 9. Course was overall in good shape with just a few holes having a few small weeds on the green.
Beautiful course
The pace of play was off but it was a holiday. Course very well maintained. Cart paths were rough. Would definitely play again
Great day in Staunton
Timber Lakes is an awesome place. We really enjoyed the layout the clubhouse and staff. Such a great atmosphere all the way around. We will be back and I highly recommend. Dave does a great job and makes you feel welcome.

Diamond in the rough
Anyone is the STL/SW IL area needs to check this course out. Great for all levels! Fairways are perfect, greens are in excellent condition and multiple ones are double tiered. Holes 13-16 are 4 of the toughest holes I’ve ever played. Not doubt worth the drive to play this fantastic course.
Great challenge course
Playing Timber Lakes starts out pretty straight forward, but the Timber trap on the back nine really makes a golfer use every club in the bag. Between the subtle (and sometimes hidden) water holes and the uniquely shaped greens with undulations, this course is a treat. I would recommend taking the time to experience this layout.
Excellent track!
Absolutely love this track! Great shape and challenging. Watch out on the back it's tight!
Great course
I played 4 other courses in the area and this is a Diamond in the rough. Highly recommend the course.
