Bolingbrook Golf Club

I had a 2pm tee time and wasn’t able to finish my round before dark (sunset 7pm). Not sure if they were sending members off the back or if the course was truly THAT backed up on a Monday afternoon, but the pace was frustrating to say the least

Beautiful day on the course, couple groups playing a touch slow but course attendant made sure to stay on top of it and push those groups to keep pace and communicated that with our group. Greens is good condition, and driving range included in round.

Pleasantly surprised by Bolingbrook. Would definitely return. The greens were slow, as we had been told they were aerated last week, but was told they’re typically faster.

Would like to play again later this year when they turn things around.

Challenging layout, but fair. Long layout for walkers. Will return.

Was supposed to have tournament on 8/28. Long story short …. Negligence by this Director Of Golf , affecting the days schedule of over forty players that day. Will not play here again, and will encourage other “tour” players to do the same. Terrible, terrible what they did!!! This is also posted on Tee Off, Golf Advisor and other sites.

We just received an email from David Thompson, the Head Professional at Bolingbrook stating that he neglected to book our tee times on Saturday even though we booked the event on January 11, 2021. We are very sorry to inform everyone that the tournament will be canceled an cannot be rescheduled at any other time this year. Copies of our January 11th emails booking the tournament and the email from today advising us of the error of the course management are attached for your review.

This course rates five stars in most categories. One of the largest clubhouses you will ever see, massive pro shop, and a huge plus that the restaurant is actually open after a late round (closes 9 pm weekends). Fairways are massive in scale and width with a challenging yet playable design. Bunkers present challenges off the greens. Water ways are excellent throughout adding to the design, atmosphere, difficulty and overall course appeal. Typically no pace of play issues but does get booked up and hosts events often.

Conditions were good but the layout is miserable for the first time. If you love blind shots and guessing where to hit your approaches this is the spot for you. The layout is big and boring, kind of like they just cut fairways in the middle of the land and said yep this will do. You're paying for the amenities of course, which I will say are absolutely top notch like a top tier country club. For the money I think mistwood is a much better choice. Id probably try it one more time.

Had a fantastic time playing this course! The staff was friendly. The course was in fantastic condition. I really liked that every hole had a ball washer and imaginative trash bins that were dug underground! The golf card had neat features including one where you can measure how long you hit your shots. Very cool! Should you play this course? YES!

I played the course for the first time today and enjoyed it. I had heard about the course for years and was expecting a little bit more. The fairways and greens were nice, but the greens were quite slow. There were some very interesting holes but just thought it was a bit on imaginative. Overall it was a nice experience and a nice round.

If you miss the fairway your in the high rough or water.
Fairways are bowed in hilly.
No forgiveness.

Greens average
