Course in rough shape
This was our first round of the year coming from Wisconsin. The fairways were not taken care of and covered with leaves. The greens were in bad shape too and some were under construction and others covered with sand. Despite these poor conditions, we had fun and the staff were nice and honest about the conditions.
Bad
Terrible shape...had 2 greens under repair and they just stuck a pin in the fairways with a hole. Went to get ice and water but no cups...said they were going green. Should have charged $20 per round and that may be overpriced
Sell!
It's waiting to close and they should unless they maintain it.
Not really a golf course
Don’t know where to begin. Fairways are dirt and weeds. Several greens were covered with 2-3 inches of sand. At least 3 temporary greens can’t tell where the fairway ends and rough starts.
Not Worth It
This course is very poorly maintained (if at all). There are lots of sand patches on the "greens" and the fairways are just OK. I once played a round where the green was closed and a temporary "green" was placed on the fairway (just a flag and a hole). No warnings were given about the closed green.
If you are just looking to practice your distance/accuracy then go for it. If you want to play a round of decent golf - forget it!
In name only
This is a golf course in name only. There are tee boxes and areas with a hole in the ground that one would assume are greens. I did find a few blades of grass but they were in the parking lot. The real shame is that the assumed layout looks like a golf course ,like Ebbits field, once was here.
Worst course I have ever played. Slow play and horrible conditions. Stopped after nine it was so bad. No rakes in the sand traps. Stay away!
Sand on the greens?
I have never seen a course in worse condition! Sand on the greens, weeds instead of grass, tee boxes in terrible condition…overall it was awful!
Okay course
Inexpensive for the area, but you get what you pay for. Poor fairways, acceptable green. Busy, but reasonable pace of play: 3 1/2 hours. Executive course (4000 yards from tips). Very friendly, helpful staff. I’d go back, wife won’t. Caution, course is said to be closing permanently in April.
So-so
It's a bargain at the height of the season in Naples but don't expect too much. We had a 2:22 tee time and were on #17 at 5:45 (had to wait often for the group in front of us) when a staff member made us pick up our balls and leave. He said that the course was now closed but we were never informed that it would close that early. The course is not in very good shape but it's OK for practicing your short game.
Good place for a laidback day
This is not the course for a serious golfer, the course conditions are fair at best. But my wife had a nice relaxing round with another twosome we met there. A good, cheap way to spend three and a half hours.
