Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
About
Seven Springs Country Club offers two golf courses, the Championship and an executive course. Located in New Port Richey, the courses are just minutes away from Tampa Bay and the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches. The Championship Course offers a challenge for players of all skill levels, especially if it's a windy day. There are a few bunkers scattered along the greensides but water is the most prominent hazard. There are numerous lakes and ponds throughout that come into play on almost every hole. Towering pines and cypress trees also frame most of the holes. Thanks to the challenging layout, lush fairways, and manicured greens, the golf course has earned the reputation of being one of Pasco County's best. Seven Springs also offers a practice facility with an excellently conditioned driving range with four target greens and a hitting area that is 300 yards in length.

Fast round
Got tot the course on time and they had foursome on first tee. Started asked if we could tee off which was nice as there were two of us. Windy, tight and nice challenge as we both shot 82 in just over two hours and 10 minutes.
We were over charged a few bucks as we booked on golf now, But worth the price and nice course.

Course conditions
Course Course layout was magnanimous very difficult. Also, of course conditions little overplayed lotta bare spots in the fairways tight fairways greens excellent shape that’s my rating.
Great Layout, Seasonal Play has beat up course.
I love this course, plain and simple. The condition suffers during season due to the amount of play that it gets. I typically play after 3:00 to get the cheaper rate and most of the crowds have finished up. I personally think the back nine is what sets this course apart. The front nine is good and has some great holes, but the back nine is really cool, fun and challenging. If you can get over and understand why the course is beat up in places, and just roll the ball when needed, you’ll be quite pleased!
Great community course
Course meanders through a well maintained condo community. Some challenging holes with water on both sides, need to plan your strategy. Lots of gators sunning themselves on the banks.
Gators galore
We enjoy playing this course every year. Greens recently punched and they rolled beautifully. At this time of year, some bare spots on the fairways making for right lies. Lots of gators enjoying the sun, great to see.
Terrible conditions
Hit or miss on fairways. Greens were ok. Not really speedy enough for me. We had to play move your fall anywhere to set it up on grass. Maybe two or three shots were played where they played.
Most fun was two gators and the rookery island between two fairways.
I was visiting from my usual SoFla stomping grounds and wanted to play a round. It's a shorter course than I usually play but the tight layout makes up for it. Fortunately I was paired with regulars who knew the course well and when to "go for it" vs lay up, etc.
Some previous reviews mentioned pace of play issues but I didn't have that problem on a midday Saturday tee time in season.
I thought the course was fair value given the time of year. Seemed to be in pretty good condition to me.
Side note: it was a chilly day for Florida so there were gators on the lake banks. The gf actually had a ball (harmlessly) roll over a gator snout. I see gators all the time but had never seen someone have to take a drop bc of a gator obstruction. Just felt the need to document that somewhere bc it was pretty funny to the group at the time.
Twenty Dollar Course for $70.00
This was by fall the worst course this winter season, I have played. Not one fairway had grass. This is a 2 star course. The best part about this course was the greeter when I got out of my vehicle.
Course conditions
Extremely disappointed in the course conditions. Fairways were brown, very little grass. Greens were fairly good, but overall the course has gone downhill and needs a lot of TLC to bring it back to good condition. Not interested in playing until it is better.
Course layout / conditions
This course had a couple of holes with strange layouts. Several of the fairways were in poor condition.
Good course
Had a great time. Pace of play was outrageous fast!!! Course Marshall said we had to pick up the pace and we had completed the front 9 in 1 hour 45 minutes
Greens were nice but could better a litt better I'd say a 6.5 out of 10
The pace of play was the slowest I have ever seen
Over 3 hours to play 11 holes we decided to quit after waiting 25 minutes on the 12 th tee
So we lost $44
Good Intermediate Course
I played 36 holes. Started with the first tee time and played the whites and played the blues with the second 18. For a single digit handicapper, the tips are more accommodating to having full shots thru all the holes, the whites require a lot of layups for a skilled golfer but the greens have can have some challenging pins so scoring could still be a challenge. There are a couple quirky holes, but the Greens were in great shape and rolled well. I will certainly play there again.
7 Springs
A fun layout. Different holes, makes you use most of your bag. Nice quick greens. Good value. I’d definitely go back. Friendly staff.
A challenging layout in need of more maintenance
The Champions course was a challenging layout which requires the golfer to make plenty of shots into either dog-legged fairways, or relatively modest greens. Another positive were greens that rolled relatively fast, and were true to most breaks that were read. The negative was the fairways which were not in good shape and were really thin with many bald areas. Many sand traps also were in need of a good raking and new layer of sand.. I look forward to playing here again under better course conditions.
Ok conditions not very good but probably not their fault - starter acted like he didn’t like his job everyone else great
