My wife and I came to Buenavista after spending a week in the much more touristy south coast.

I golfed a couple of courses in the southern end of Tenerife and enjoyed them immensely, but they really didn’t compare to the vistas that Buenavista offered. At least 12 of the 18 holes had either mountains or ocean as backdrop and I’m sure I was taking pictures at each one.

I was the first one off in the morning (Note to self - no need to show up early as staff only show up about 15 mins prior to first tee time). The course has a lot of elevation changes and the day was pretty windy so half the holes I felt like a superhero and the other half were humbling. I know this is the off season for the area but the course was in decent condition and the greens were in good shape and very fast.

Fairways were pretty forgiving but very undulated so often I was surprised to see my ball ended up on the opposite side.

Course is challenging but fairly straight forward so no surprises, which makes playing it for the first time more enjoyable.

It’s a nice walk but you feel like you’ve done some exercise by the end.

Thoroughly enjoyed my day and definitely one of my most memorable and favorite courses.

Bravo Buenavista, muy hermoso.
