Deteriorating Rapidly
I play this course on a fairly regular basis. In my opinion the last month has seen a marked decline in the quality of the fairways and greens. While FL heat plays a part in this I also believe there are fewer staff personnel than typical to care for the course. I'm looking soon for improvements or I'll be playing elsewhere.
Course needs up keep,
The layout of the course brought a favorable response from
Everyone, the fairways were a little ruff in spots. The greens
Were really one step from becoming unplayable.
front nine fairways very rough
improving but needs a lot of work, front nine fairways extremely rough and many greens need work.
Better to play in the winter months when it's over seeded wity rye.
Not in the best of shape now tht the rye grass is dying and the bermuda is growing. Many greens are getting damaged because of that. Good to play for a practice round as it has some challenging holes. Much imprved over the previous years.
average golf course-suitable for general play.
Found the conditions to be very good. Cart paths are in need of repair but overall a very satisfactory and interesting golf course
Only nice part was carts have shot pro and friendly staff.
Recommend this course if you like a course with no challenges to it. Was very friendly staff and greens were ok for early spring. For the money there are a lot more better choices. All depends on what u want
Great "up north" feeling--lots of woods.
No frills course but definitely worth the great price. Nice atmosphere playing through the woods with very few houses along the fairways. Greens were ok to good. One negative was that the fairways were a bit rough and bumpy in the cart. Overall, we enjoyed the course.
Was a challenging course.
The greens were in pretty good condition, but the fairways was bumpy. A lot of bumps. But overall, for the price a good deal.
Sister course
Sister course next door at Marion Oaks is excellent would make it my first choice
Nice people, poor conditions.
This course really is a poor excuse for golf. 15 of 18 greens required we putt through giant sand repairs (not aerating, just no grass...). We paid $16 a piece for a round through Golf Now and felt like we overpaid. The people at the course were very friendly, but this course is a joke.
In poor condition
This course is in poor condition, needs lots of work. Green are in bad shape, fairways horrible condition. One man show, I checked in at shop, the clerk went to get cart & pulled it up front. No starter & no ranger or beverage cart.
greens are in great shape. fairways and rough need attention.
for the price, this is not a bad place to play. no homes to dodge and no water hazards.
Bumpiest course I've ever played
This course much like its sister course Marion Oaks needs lots of TLC. Riding in the cart is a harsh ride due to the rough terrain even on the fairway. You must play winter rules as your lie could be anything. It needs to add tee boxes and somehow level out the ground to make for a smoother ride. No water hazards at all do not help the esthetic appeal of the course. Ok if your just out to work on your driving accuracy but every other aspect of the game could be hurt by the course condition.
greens and fairways green of the fairway not watered. open areas for most drives.
Great staff, new carts, last minute decision to golf. Had the course to ourselves!
