good value
Neighborhood golf course built thru a community. Having said that -the course is in good shape and fun to play for average and advanced golfer.
lots of swales
Depending on what tee box you hit from, there is difficulty carrying some of the swales. Not having played this course before there were many "surprises" in most fairways
Interesting layout
The course is in great shape, water comes into play enough to keep you on your toes and there are plenty of undulating fairways. The greens were in great shape and rolled well. You can't go wrong playing this course. One aside, the traps could use more sand and better grooming.
Resurrection
Much better shape than it has been in the past several years. Go play!
Very good course
Played this course on a hot deal Golf Now price and it was a very good value. Course was in very good shape 2 or 3 greens had a few rough spots. The young man in pro shop was one of nicest we have met in any pro shop we have played this year. Very welcoming and informative about the course. Big difference between longest 2 tee boxes 6400 or 5600. Play the 5600 unless you have played here before. Will definitely be back.
Hidden Gem
I don't want to tell everyone how great this course is because it is so easy to get an early Tee Time on Sunday morning. I would be doing this course an injustice. My dad and I played this course on a perfect Sunday morning. The golf community here tends to go out around 10/11 am on Sunday mornings so the whole course is basically empty. The greens are like carpet except 2 of them which they are working on and they are still putt-able. The cut of the fairways are very nice and the tee boxes are beautiful. I am a tough customer to please when it comes to paying hard earned money to play golf but this course is worth every penny and then some. At this point in time this course is one of the nicest in the area...if not THE NICEST!!
Great course layout
This course is very challenging. Excellent course layout. Makes you use all your clubs. The driver is not the only club out of the bag on Par 4,s ball placement is very important. No doubt a course I will play again!
Really Nice Course
Beautiful course set throughout a nice neighborhood; a lot of driving to next tee boxes. Played here a week ago when it was sprinkling out, and the course was pretty wet and the greens were slow. This time was nice sunny day, course was not wet at all. Greens were super fast, but still held every shot hit into them very well. Staff is really friendly, pro shop and bar. Free tees. Only thing is that the course is relatively short. Still some long holes, but overall yardage is a bit low. I like longer courses, but still amazing course. I will be back again.
Nice course, white tees are short making the course play very easy. Back tees are only 6.4 K yards, but demanding 200+ yard carries on many tee boxes, which leaves a short approach to the greens. I can't carry 200+ yards so I have to play the 5.5 K tees, which for me makes the course play very easy.
Greens are in excellent condition and very readable, but slow. It took some time to adjust to the speed. Overall course is in great shape and well worth the visit. I recommend this course.

Nice Course-Good Value
Spur of the moment round for me and first time playing the course. Course was in good shape. Played by myself in about 2.5 hours for 18. Played from the longest markers (green). Tough course for first time playing. Several blind tee shots and I wasn't sure of placement. Good thing I had my phone gps to give me some idea. Experience will be even better after playing a round.
Would definitely recommend...good value!

I'm definitely going to come back to this course. I've lived close by for 4 years and never tried it before. Hint: It helped that I played with a member because there are several unseen hazards that are blind trouble spots.
Excellent Experience
Ocala Palms is challenging and fun to play. It is very "woman friendly" and is in excellent condition. All the staff and golfers were very accommodating.
I would highly recommend Ocala Palms for a fun and exciting day on the course.
