Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 03/2019.
The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

Good value, wide open course at 10 am.
Nice layout, easy to use practice area. Course in fair to good condition. Some drainage issues but otherwise, nice.
Greens Need Redo
CCOP has a great layout and most of the course is in Decent sahape. Greens are certainly puttable but in sad shape compared to other greens in county.
I’ll wait another couple of years before I return.
Staffs are friendly and course is challenging
I had to change the tee time, a staff made a necessary change right away when I call. The course is well maintained and challenging.
Super wet round
Due to extreme rainy weather for several weeks, the course was almost unplayable. Cart paths only was the order of the day, which made the round extra long. The greens were the only really playable areas on the course. The tee boxes were water logged and the fairways were nearly all mud.
None of this was the fault of the course, but I would have rescheduled this round if I had known the course condition.
Terrible Conditions
This was probably the worst experience I ever had on a golf course. I am not exaggerating when I say the entire course was soggy & muddy. Every tee box and fairway was slushy to the point you couldn’t walk out to your ball without water getting in your shoes. The fairways looked like they weren’t mowed in weeks. I lost a few balls that were not errant, they just got lost in the deep grass. The area has been experiencing rain on a daily basis lately, but it appears they are doing a poor job managing the course around the weather. The other courses nearby do not seem to be experiencing these challenges. I really like this course layout. It’s a shame that it has degraded to this level.
Just terrible
Stay away, this course looks like a cow pasture. Hasn’t been mowed in weeks, maybe even months. 35 bucks to play is robbery, this should be a 10 dollar course at best. I will never play this course again unless they get serious about keeping it nice.
Horrible course conditions, food w as s even worse.
I recommend that you stay away from Orange Park golf course,
The course was extremely wet and appeared to be lacking proper and regular maintenance. I have never seen this course in such bad condition.
What happened?
Maybe 10 cars all day in the parking lot. This place used to be full on weekends. No maintenance being done on anything - rough, “fairways,” “greens,” nor bunkers. Even the outer course was miserable.
stayAWAY
Missed opportunity
The course plays well for me but today the greens were off. They would not allow my ball to break. When your putting is off here it makes for a long day. Out side of a few over grown areas because of the wet grounds course was good not great. I will be back
Great Time
Great layout, friendly and helpful staff, and very good pace of play made for a very good experience. The course was pretty wet, but that is outside of their contol. Can 't wait to play course again as soon as we get some dry weather.
Poor condition
A lot of grass and weeds encroaching the greens. Bunkers full of weeds. Fairways were very wet from all of the rain but you can still tell maintenance of the fairways leaves a lot to be desired. OPCC has a lot of work to do.
OPCC is very poor condition
I have played this course many times and on 06/24/18 it was in terrible shape. Many of the Tee Boxes are straight up dirt with no grass there is grass growing in the bunkers and lots of water in many of them. It had not been mowed in weeks. When speaking to the ranger he said it had rained for 3 weeks. I live on another golf course (Eagle Harbor) 7 miles away and it is immaculate. Took 3 of us 4 hours and twenty minutes to play. The ranger said it was not the group in front of us holding things up but we never saw anyone in front of them. They were terrible and were even driving their cart off the path on Par 3's. DO NOT GO TO OPCC
Opcc
Course is in excellent condition. Also not crowded. It was fun playing there.
A bit wet
With the amount of rain we have had in Jacksonville the course was pretty wet in most areas. As a result fairways could not be mowed resulting in high grass in the fairways as well as in the rough. A few sand traps also were filled with water. Greens however were a very good shape. I enjoy playing here but will not be back until things dry up a bit.
Good practice areas and driving range. Very friend,y staff. Michelle is great.
Soggy but nice layout that I would recommend
Extremely wet from 5 inches of rain. Course held up well and the layout is great. Greens were slow but to be expected. Fair test of your abilities. Go Play!
Nice course
Good course very crowded but not horrible, did feel rushed while round.
Great course for a good price.
A challenging course that makes you think, not just hit away. Good value.
