I'll be back!
I love the classic country club feel of these vintage style golf courses and their cart path layout. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I've played at least 5 other courses in the area within the month and this course was is the best condition. See ya soon!
Reviera
Good condition. Dated but clean. New carts. Staff helpful but cautious because of C19. Understandable.
Members have no golf etiquette
We were a twosome playing behind 4 members. We waited to hit on every shot and they had 12 puts on some greens. Never offered for us to play thru' as every other course would. Will never go back there.
Great greens
My wife and I have been coming to Daytona Beach for years. We always play golf when we are here but we have never tried Riviera Country Club. I have been playing golf since I was 15 and these are some of the best greens you'll ever play. Fairways are full without any bare spots. Bunkers fairly placed. The course isn't very difficult as long as you stay out of the tree line. Only 6200 yards from the back tee but it's a lot of fun. We play later in the day and we played in less than 3 hours.
Hidden Gem, Loved it!
We have been coming to the Daytona/Ormond Beach area for many years and playing golf. I did not even know this course was here! Just ten minutes from the beach condo we stay, and the golf is fantastic. Love the layout, and even though the greens were recently dressed, they were fast and true. The undulations and turtle-back shape on most, along with the greens being small, make for an excellent challenge with your approach shots and short game. Expect your imagination to be tested thoroughly around the greens. I loved the challenge and will be back for more. Playing from the Tips is not overly long, but the slight doglegs and tree-lines make the tee shots grab your attention. No blind drives or approaches makes a first time experience enjoyable as well. They have 9, yes 9 pin locations, so understanding where the pin is on the green along with a rangefinder is a breeze. Loved this course, well done!!
Late Summer
This course always has moderate to fast greens compared to several I've played. You would not have known that it hasn't rained the past two weeks because
the fairways are excellent and lush. The rough and fringe
are the devil's friend...
Highly recommend Riviera
This is an excellent neighborhood course. The greens were fast and exceptionally true. The fairways were in great shape with a good cushion for shock free iron shots. Pace of play was very good, very few waits to hit.
I'd recommend it if you're I the Daytona area.
First Timer
Course and greens were in excellent condition. Great lay out. Fair course with plenty of challenges.
Great Value and Fun Course
This is the second time I have played Riviera Country Club. I like the course. It is simple, fun and a great value. The best part of the course are the greens.
The greens are small, fast, and in great condition. The greens run smooth, and true with lots of subtle humps and undulations which makes them a real test and challenge.
Both times I have played the course it has been very wet and soggy with lots of muddy holes in the fairways.
Make sure to take some bug spray because the bugs and gnats are crazy thick out there.
Overall, I highly recommend the course, especially since it is a great value for the price you pay.
Would highly recommend. Staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. Course is in good shape. Love the speed on the greens. Very reasonable for their prices in the lounge. Look forward to playing there again
Moon landing
Course is in great shape. Greens are fast with very subtle breaks. Fairways are plush. Nice day to play.
Very crowded course, nice mix of long and short holes
I would have to warn folks wanting to play here that this course is covered up in members, both men and women, and the pace of play can be excruciatingly slow. Fairways mostly wide open with par 4's varying from 335 to 410 and par fives from 465 to 510. Greens had been recently aerated but there was a notice. Nice little course for all the retirees that play every day, but it's a mystery to me why they are on GolfNow since they already get more play than they can handle.
Nice
First time playing here and we will definitely return and play again. This is a wide open course. Straight up track with more bunkers than water. Nice greens. They just aerated the greens but still ok. Riviera CC is a nice secret. You would never know it was there if it wasn't for these site's. I highly recommend.
Always a great time here GREAT STAFF
I have played this course a lot and it is still my favorite course. The pro shop staff to the restaurant/bar to the cart guy are all really nice. The fairways are nice the rough manageable and the greens are awesome.
Great round
Staff and others playing there very friendly. Tees fairways and greens excellent. Wife and I played in 3hrs. 15min Highly recommend will be back
very fast greens
Played a couple of times...The fairways need some rain but course is good. The greens protect the course...very fast but fun to play. The staff are always friendly and the starters are always very pleasant.
Good shape
One of best courses near Daytona Beech. By far best greens in area. . Would be much better if they took tee times.
Simple
Very quick well maintained layout. The greens were small but rolled true and played firm on the approach. Great value.
Greens are very good and reasonably fast. Best conditions we have found in the NSB area. Course has generous fairways. The greens are difficult.
