About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

Decent golf
The Meadows course is a good playable tract with little trouble to deal with. Generous fairways and decent greens. Not really resort level course but nice enough and good value.
Cook gqme
Course pretty beat up. Not in the shape we have enjoyed over the last 10 to 15 years. Staff was great
This golf course great
The course is in great shape. The pace on the front
9 was very good. The back nine was very slow.
I still have a very good time playing.
Classic tree lined course
Course is a classic old tree lined course. Trees are in play on every hole, making it a difficult challenge. I don’t think I made one free swing the entire day. Greens were in good condition, but the fairways, and areas around the green were very thin. They had made linear cuts in the fairways the night before (dethatching I think) and it left very tight, even thin spots on the fairways. There was also a lot of muddy areas. Around the green some spots were bare, making chipping difficult, at least for me. Still I liked the course, it has several dog legs, both right and left, that add to the premium on driving accuracy, I just wish it had a bit more grass on the fairways and around the greens.
They let me out by myself early in the morning, and I played in about 2 hrs and 10 min, so pace of play was great, for me.
Good Deal on GolfNow
Greens and sand were in great shape. Thankfully it was NOT cart path only even though it had rained for several hours and only stopped an hour before our tee time!
Great greens!
The course was in great shape except for areas of the fairways that haven’t completely filled in as of yet! The greens were soft and in unbelievable shape!
GOOD TEST FOR THE MONEY
All is well with the experience but many of the green run-ups are very soft, must carry green or land very short with punch and run. Green face won't release.
Playable, fair, sporting resort course
This is the easier of the two courses at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort, but it isn't "easy." Certainly more forgiving than the Nicklaus Course, but still some water, and some hidden hazards (mostly water) that can jump up and bite you. Room to miss fairways, but you have to hope to avoid stands of trees and tufts of grass/brush and swaths of pine straw. Greens are less undulating and slower than on the Nicklaus Course--easier to putt overall. What's striking is how different the Meadows is from the Nicklaus. Really nice, actually, to have two very different feels at the same resort. Whereas Nicklaus has lots of water and wetlands, Meadows has lots of doglegs in both directions that are lined with towering pines. The main defense here are the approaches to greens that are quite small, actually. Rough around the greens is less "grabby" than on the Nicklaus course, so you can play a greater variety of shots around the green. Nice course for higher handicappers & families/juniors.
Excellent value
Played both the Nicklaus course and the Meadows. The Meadows was in better shape. It’s early in the season, so the conditions were understandable.
Bay Point Meadows Course
A longish course, lots of dog legs to the greens. Some tricky slopes to some greens. Friendly staff. A challenge for the intermediate golfer. Choice of 1, 2, 3 or 4 (Lady’s tee) tee offs. Lots of sand traps, not as much water trouble as most Florida courses. Overall, a good experience.
Meadows need grass
I enjoyed my round of golf, but grass is very lean, especially around greens. No ruff at all, but course has its obstacles, sand and. Water. It was a fun day, playing #3 tees.
