Legacy Golf Club
About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Good course
Enjoyed the round. Good course with a challenging layout. Greens are sparse on grass and very fast. Fairways are thin and tees aren't level. Value was average considering it was winter in Florida. I wouldn't want to pay $100 to play here. Watch for a hot deal..
Nice challenge
Good layout, changeling doglegs, a little water you should be able to start clear of. Fairways in good condition for February. Bermuda on greens is still immature and needs more warm weather, but breaks were true. Fast due to immaturity of the grass. Pace of play perfect. Guys at pro shop and starter very cordial and helpful.
The only odd thing out of all of this was the woman behind the bar at the turn... didn't look up from her phone and even directed one of my playing partners to look for his own chips in a storage room! Needs supervision!
Best golf in pcb
Great conditions...friendly staff...only minus is fairways are close together
pace of play
Overall pleased and a fun course not too challenging but fairly well conditioned for time of year. Our biggest complaint was pace of play as it was slow and no marshall to be seen! also got the golfnow rate as the regular rate of $90 is too much for the what you get
Growing season coming soon
I enjoyed a relatively quick round at Legacy. 3.5 hrs for our threesome to complete the round. It is mid February so no growing has happened yet in spite of relatively warm temps. Greens are sparse but they are rolled and fast. Fairways are still dormant but a good grass baseline. Will be a totally different course in 2 months.
Holiday/Legacy
I played in February, so the course was just starting to grow grass coming out of winter, so it was a bit spotty everywhere. The layout was nice and demands you be able to move the ball both directions off the tee. There was a good amount of po-anna grass on the greens, and that made putting a challenge. The plants were mature enough to change the direction of ball travel, and also cause the ball to bounce. This seems to be a standard in the PCB area, Bay Point GC has it so bad it's prohibitive. Play Legacy and avoid Bay Point.
Chilly Day
8 of us played this course with starting times of 12:30 and 12:40. It was close to a 5 hour round and we just finished before dark. Fairways were in pretty good shape but greens had lots of weeds in them. Was a bit pricey for conditions but we enjoyed getting out to play.
Pricey
Average municipal type course. Slow play. Green speeds inconsistent. Due to lack of courses in the area able to charge much more than this level of course would normally be able to get.
Mark the way to make a better day!
Nice layout with interesting holes sprinkled throughout. The outward nine seems to circle outside around the inward nine. At areas where they intersect the club would be well served to better mark the way as opposed to rely solely on the electronic cart course navigator system. A number of times my and my playing partners carts shutdown in forbidden cart areas unbeknownst to us. Observations also indicated that we were not alone. Course conditions were good for the season and greens in excellent condition. Pin placements were very challenging set on mound tops and rapid channels. It was clear though that new management is investing to improve this track. I would definitely return to play again. Also very female golfer friendly!
