5/10
This course has very tight fairways for the slope rating. There is water that comes into play on most holes. The greens are normally in good condition. Best part of this course is the drainage.
Weeds galore
The course conditions were horrible from tee boxes to greens. It’s unfortunate because the layout is pretty nice.
Grand Palms
This course used to be impeccable. For whatever reasons they are not keeping it up to par like years back. It’s still a good course to play and pricing is fair.
Nice layout
Overall conditions of the course are correct except the greens are not in good shape.
Need more maintenance
This used to be my home course, but I had not played here for almost 4 years, and I couldn't believe how poorly kept is right now., specially the greens. I hope that they can recover it soon. Its a real shame.
Terrible greens
Most greens have so many weeds, and dirt patches. Good luck making any putts. Been like this awhile. A waste of money for $55. Should be discounted to $25 due to condition of greens. Rest of course ok. They just got new cups and flagsticks though.
Just A Little TLC Required
After the first two holes of the Royal - Sabal rotation, the course, the playing conditions & the layout improve dramatically ... that is except for the greens which are being invaded by an aggressive weed. Evidently the superintendent is attempting to eradiate these weeds. In addition, several sand traps are also in need of maintenance, edging, raking etc. Should these matters be rectified, this golf course would be rated a 4-star facility.
Disappointed
Disappointed in overall condition of course. Greens had lots of weeds which made the greens to be very inconsistent. Web site talks about par view global positioning units. Our cart had none and cart was not cleaned and looked very worn.
Don’t go there!
Our day started with a starter overwhelmed and rude. When we came to the 1st tee, there was already 2 foursome. Not quality grass in the fairways, greens in bad shape. And “the cherry on the sundae”: we were waiting at each tee box so it took us 2 hours 10 minutes to play 8 holes as we stopped there when we saw that the 2 foursomes in front of us where playing together. Never again!
