Flamingo Lakes Country Club
Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

Great group to play with
I played as a single joining a threesome
Ian Dave And Gus where the best playing partners one could ask for.
The course was in good shape and the layout is fair
For only $25 I got what I expected. Great pace in under 3.5 hours for a foursome. never waited on a tee box. Standard Covid rules . 2 temp greens were unputtable but looks like the new greens are nearly matured. Paired with good people and the cart girl had ice cold drinks for $2. Can’t understand people complaining, if you want more you have to pay more, simple as that.
Restaurant Staff Exceptional
I was highly impressed by the Gigi’s Cafe staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. Not to mention the omelets were great.
Flamingo lakes is now charging additional fees to customers. They just post a sigh ant the paying window. They claim that's for washing/sanitizing the carts and support the attendants that not handling the golf bags. I think they are playing games with golfers. only when you are already at the course and paying they point you to the additional fee. This is downright wrong. They need to advertise the complete price for customers. unsatisfied customer.
What do you expect?
For a sub $30 round including cart, what do you expect? Conditions were below average. Cart parking brake barely worked. The water in play was fun. Pace was moderately fast. I don’t get why I needed a mask to talk to a plexiglass window with a tiny opening. Fun day!
The reason it’s because theirs 2 holes with damage greens.
okay I get it you can't mow every day but to leave piles and piles of cut grass in the fairways is ridiculous the greens were cut way too short, bear spots everywhere on most of them. That said, have golfed there before, usually the maintenance is much better.
Given the Coronavirus nonsense, this course is a great value for the money. Couple of provisional greens but otherwise it passes muster. If you are a mid to high handicapper, try it out
Could not play- rude staff member
I made a tee time to play here . I drove almost one hour to arrive at the course. I arrived a few minutes before my tee time, however the check in is in the back and being my first time at the course I did not know. This caused me to arrive and speak to the man at the window 1 min later than my scheduled tee time. He very rudely spoke to me and did not allow me to play my game for 1 min late and said he had given it to someone else because I was not there on time or earlier. I found this experience very absurd and disrespectful. Will not recommend this course to anyone.
Booked this tee time and it was my first time playing this course. My expectations were not so high but found by the end of the round that this is a great course. Lots of water coming into play if you stray the tee ball. I was set up as a single with 3 others, one who happened to be late and had to be driven out to us on the 6th tee. David was an older gentleman that hit the ball well, and he knew the course so that was a huge help. Tommy was closer to my age and he and I played from the back tees as did our fourth after he caught us on 6. The course was in very good condition, with the tees being some of the best I’ve seen in the area this year. The greens were firm but rolled very true and a bit fast. The fairways were full of grass almost fully from tee to green. The rough was a bit “rough” but there was grass there and only a few bare spots. There were good markers on the course for 200, 150, 100 yards and all water and OB hazards. Pace was ok being behind a foursome and we did 18 in right at 4 hours. Could have been quicker had we not waited a few times on the group in front of us. The staff was friendly and pleasant. There was a restaurant that was open for breakfast and I’m sure opened throughout the day. They have an app that offered for free so I used that for my scoring and for the GPS which was quite accurate. Thanks for an enjoyable round even though I didn’t play my best. The company was pleasant and the day was fun. GolfNow comes through again. I would be glad to play here again and wish this course were closer to my home. (45 minutes away and 28 miles)
