About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Lost Key Golf Club
Great course, but difficult to find the entrance. Definitely needs more/better signage to help find the only entrance for non residents.

One of our favorites!
We're snowbirds and Lost Key is one of our favorite courses while in the area. The greens were excellent!
Excellent condition
This is far and away the best course in the Pensacola area. It is extremely challenging so don't try to be a hero and play from tees beyond your game.

Review Again
Not sure why Golf Now wants a second review from me. Maybe it's because I can't load the app on my I-phone anymore and used my wife's phone for the reservation. Don't miss an opportunity to play this course. Two things to add.
1. The entrance is on Perdido Key Drive. Google leads you to a gated entrance with a nice view of the course but this is not the clubhouse entrance.
2. The GPS fails on a couple of holes since the tee is close to the previous green. Simply select the new hole and then yardage is correct.

Best late season (November) greens
Paspalum grass throughout and still alive. Greens are immaculate. This course is tight with balls running off fairways and sides of greens. The native flora has been cut on the fairway edges but balls are not easily found. Expect to loose a few, but the area is so beautiful it doesn’t matter. I’m used to playing on bent grass where a shot short of the green might get a bounce and be on. Know your carry distance because a ball hit short will stay short.

Great course.. ignore negative reviews
Course was in great shape indicating that staff had overcome the drought from earlier this year. Greens were best I have seen in two years in Gulf area. There were patches of same in fairways where damage had been done, but it was very playable. Great value for the money. Beautiful scenery and bird sounds or deer too.

Fairways need attention. Greens were immaculate
I've played Lost Key many times.
Yesterday, Oct 25, 23, there were many many vare places in the fairways. Around the greens were sketchy. But the greens were immaculate and very fast.

Unique course
Not for everyone due to difficulty. Need to play more than once to learn how to play. A. few blind spots and areas to avoid. Very tight but fair. Paspalum greens were fabulous. Fairways had experienced some apparent drought issues.

Lost Key Review
Fairways had issues, I don't know what the problem was, they had a lot of thin spots with no grass, every fairway. Greens where great, smooth as glass.

Great Layout
The wife and I played this course for the first time while on vacation. The course was in great shape with the greens being in fantastic shape. I will say you better not be a slicer or hooker or you will loose a lot of balls. Talked to the 2 guys in front of us on number 10 and they had already lost 12 balls on the front nine. That being said we loved it because it's not a boaring layout. You have to pick your targets on every shot or you will find yourself in trouble. Again it's an excellent layout in excellent shape and every employee we had contact with was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be playing it again every time we're down here on vacation.

Excellent Accomodations/Very Challenging Course
Course, Clubhouse, and Staff were impeccable. Easily one of the nicest experiences I’ve had. Course is intensely manicured but very challenging, any OB was in the surrounding marsh. Looking forward to playing again now knowing the layout.
