Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

enjoyable round
great first experience, from the greeting at the club house to the random single pairing i had a great time. I grew up in the woods where this course now sits in 70s and 80s and they utilized the creek and hills to build a nice golf course.
Great course
Great time for a first round there. Would love to come back.
Great Course
Course was a great condition. Greens were faster tha normal. It was a Friday, pace was slow but that happens on our beautiful days here. Love the new carts with GPS but hate the no cart fence sometimes 😉
The course was in good condition.
Greens and fairways were in good condition. Some sanding on greens but not excessive. Only concern is the pair they matched us with. They were very pleasant, but consistently had very wild tee and iron shots, so we spent a lot of time searching for their balls in woods and neighbors yards. This extended our play time considerably and was less than an enjoyable round. Not likely to play Marcus Pointe again unless we are matched with similar handicaps golfers.
Marcus pointe Early April 2024
Overall it’s getting better! Hope for this course to continue to progress 👍🏽
Could be better
Lots of small things they could do to make it better. But good value for your money would play it again.
Improved greens but fairways are sketchy
Played the course for the first time this year. Greens were much improved over last year. There were still several areas of fairways that were bare. Even so, an overall good experience.
Golf
Marcus pointe has been turned around by it's New owner and staff, a dramatic change from 13 months ago. On a 1 out of 10 scale it was a Big fat 0, but WOW I'LL GIVE 7 PUSHING an 8 for a semi private course its play well.
Good course, bad round
Overal good shape for early spring. Paired up with threesome apparently allowed to play out of one bag by the pro shop. Absolutely miserable experience ruining an otherwise great day.
Good time with friends
It was one of those days when no one was playing really good or really bad but there were some great highlights of the round with all 4 shooting par on 18. The course was in good shape and made for a fun round with friends.
