Needs Some Love
First off it rained our entire round so I can’t say much about the course condition. The layout was very fun, not super challenging. Greens were not in great shape but it was playable. My biggest concern is I called about renting clubs 2 days prior and I was assured there were “2-3 decent sets of clubs”. What we got were clubs that looked like they had been left behind on the course 20 years ago and were just thrown together in a bag. The drivers were from the 90’s, the iron sets were half steel shafts and half “senior flex”, grooveless club faces. Hardly any grips on any of the clubs. I’m not saying go buy $1000 sets, but if you’re going to have rentals, just find 3 “decent” sets on ebay for under $300 a piece.
The cart girl Roxy was the star piece of our round. Through the cold wind and rain, she was the most reliable part of the day. Thanks Roxy.
Greens need some work.
Overall, not a bad experience. The greens are rough and spots. Had a great time with the people I golfed with. Pace of play was slow because there were two fivesomes in front of us. So, a twosome caught up to us and joined us. There was no sense in them waiting or letting them play through, because there's nowhere for them to go because of the other two fivesomes in front of us.
Needs improvement
The course was very dry, hard pack surface through out. Even greens need some tlc. Has potential to be a good municipal course. I would play again if their course is taken care of
Awful experience
For my first time coming to this golf course, I had low expectations, but those expectations were not even met. Staff was extremely rude, and made sure that all four golfers had clubs. One of our guys did not have clubs, and they made him pay for rentals. Greens were the only good thing about this course. Fairways were awful and extremely hard to hit off of. Terrible course do not go here.
Needs TLC
The city needs to put some love into the course. Wasn’t a bad layout but it needs some grass and water. The greens were rolling good true and receptive but needs some maintenance on the fairways
Pretty Good Muni
Good course for an old duffer like me. Open course with forgiving second shot opportunities. The knock on the course is that apparently players don’t feel the need to repair ball marks or generally respect the greens.
Needs some work
Fairways and greens could use some work yet, part of it was playing it in February, but still could have been better. Saw signs about them improving the cart paths, but should be spending that money on the course itself.
Pace of play was great for a change!
In the past it seems like we always got behind a five-some, and pace of play was always very slow. This time we were finished in less than 4 hours as a foursome.
