Palms at Pompano Beach Golf Course

This is a great course with a truly enjoyable layout. It truly has a great combination of holes.For the price paid through GolfNow it is a great value. Now, having said that there is no reason why the course , (specially the greens), is in such bad shape as it seems to have enough players and income to warrant a better upkeep.

we enjoyed the course and layout. some of the greens were in very poor shape and some were in great shape ((hard to figure out why the big difference),
the pace was extremely slow----over 5 hours.
we will most likely play this course again -----just hope the pace is better the next time.

The course had some spots that needed work. The fairways were very tight. Overall the course was ok.

This is a review of Palm course. The best thing I like about this course is you can walk any time so I can get more exercise. If you choose to use a cart, you can take advantage of a great golf GPS. There are some holes that features blind approach shots and many holes require long accurate tee shot so it is challenging to me. The restaurant look nice but I haven't tried it yet. The practice facilities are okay.

New to area looking for a good venue. This wasn't it. More weeds than grass in the undefined fairways. Rough areas are not mowed in some ares. Each green had various amounts of grass but all were shaggy. I get it it's a muni but I was still very disappointed. Put some money in and be respectable. Staff could care less not helpful to first time guest. I loaded my own bag when no one else did then they told me I was on wrong cart. REALLY!

This golf course is very enjoyable to play. The Starter makes us uncomfortable. The young leader of the bag and cart is very nice. A1 for everything

Greens were in terrible shape. Extremely slow. No fairway grass. Course needs a lot of work

Normally this course is in pretty fair condition, but it seems lately they have been neglecting the Palms course and only doing maintenance on the (more expensive) Pines course. The rough (mostly weeds) was way overgrown, if your ball wasn’t in the fairway it was gone. That is not an overstatement, the rough on this course would make the US Open rough look like AstroTurf. At least a foot in length minimum and often times higher and it was on every hole. The only good thing about this round was that the course was empty and we didn’t encounter another group until the 14th hole. Thank god for that because if the course was busy I’m sure it would’ve been a 5+ hour round with people searching for balls. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, greens were inconsistent, some good, some bad. Not a good experience though.

It was obvious that little or no effort is made at maintaining the quality of this course. Fairways and greens were in terrible condition. I will not return.
