Good track for the money Nice bar at the 19th hole with good food.
T Times
What happened to the 11.39 T Times that use to be here to book .
Not first nine was playable.
Was not made aware that it was a walking course .Could only play first nine.
Always A Good Round
Played at 3, pace was good, seldom had to wait. There was some patchwork done recently around some of the greens. Other than that, course was in very good condition and greens were rolling true and quick.
T Times
When can we see 11.30 T times on the weekends again pls .
Not right now
The course is not in great shape. Tee boxes and fairways are beat up. Putting greens are quite nice that’s about it.
Rained out
There are both pros and cons with this course. To begin, just be ready for rude staff. We walked into the clubhouse to pay and the gruff guy behind the counter motioned us to a lady behind a glass partition (and I don't mean a covid type partition, I mean jail phone call type partition). Muni course afraid of being robbed maybe? I don't know. Course conditions were average, but the greens were in great shape. Greens were definitely the strong point here. There was a course marshal who was rather overzealous in my opinion and I saw him interact with a number of folks. He was rude each time. Overall, we were having a great time (paired up with two other very nice folks) when a storm rolled in. Unfortunately, round ended there because they made the decision to close the course. Took us some time to drive back to the clubhouse and the course definitely looked playable (no puddling on the course/greens/etc.), just some puddling on the cart paths. I think they just wanted to go home for the day.
I played there three years ago.
So I played this course three years ago so I forgot how the course was. After reading the reviews about how crappy this course is I said let me give it a shot. What I learned was even if people say it sucks go anyway. Like trump said what have you got to lose. The course was in good shape, the greens were excellent and only one fairway needed some work. Overall if you can get a good deal play it. Worth it.
Hard Pass
Golf “club” has 2 courses - pines and palms. Being that I’ve never played here before, we booked off golf now. Round was set for palms with cart included. When we arrived, check in said it’s walking only on palms so they gave us walking carts. A round that is typically 3-4 hours turned into 5 hours and 15 minutes and they blamed Golfnow for the issue. They refused to put us on pines to keep the pace. If you want cart, play on pines. Starter offered a free round next time we come back, but based on my explanation below, I won’t be back.
Palms course - absolutely the worst course I’ve ever played. Tee box, fairways, make shift greens, real greens were all beat up or marsh like. You can always tell when you’re playing at a bad course by the amount of maintenance on the course - this had 0 maintenance and once in a blue moon you saw the ranger scooping up garbage along the fairway. Cart girl was no where to be found until we flagged a ranger to send her out to us. I don’t blame her, but club house specifically said for her to give all her attention to players on pines course. So if you play palms, best of luck on remaining hydrated with whatever you brought since there are no water jugs. All holes are next to an airfield and a Highway, so lots of noise which could throw you off.
Overall, the course turned out to be $15 - $20 because of the GolfNow and course screw up, but wouldn’t play here again. With lack of attention to the course and them telling the cart girl to focus on the pines course players, this place is a hard pass and definitely not worth even the cheap price we played.
Hopefully the owners or county take reviews into consideration because this course needs a makeover just to be playable.
Amazing improvements!
The Pines course has made some amazing improvements in the last couple years. The carts upgraded with GPS and redoing the greens has made this a great course. I would recommend this course to anyone!
T times
Try stay consistent with the 11am t time would be nice
Cancel tee time for no reSon
I could not play because the course cancelled my tee time for no reason
we got there and found out that we had to walk and play 9 holes twice if we wanted to pal 18.7 out of the 9 holes had temp. greens witch were bad.this course should should not be open for play.
We got there and found out that we had to walk the palms course and that it had temp. Greens for 7 of the 9 holes, and had to play the 9 twice if we wanted to play 18. This course should not be open for play.
Pompano Beach Palms Review
Booked through GolfNow a golf cart was part of the arrangement. When I arrived they told me it was walking only! No pull carts available! I played 9 holes only (they're were only 9 holes open and 7 holes had temporary greens! I will never play here again.
