Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Overbooked
Since new mgmt took over, this course is constantly overbooked. Be ready for a 5 hour round.
Great course for the price.
Overall great conditions, few greens had some invasive grasses in them, had to move balls to not have to put through them. Staff was top notch all very friendly and welcoming.
Good value for money.
Good shape and awesome staff. Some really good deals in proshop. But the pace was horrible.
We come back again. Hcp 8
All good with this course!
I made reservations for this course on Golf Now.com for 4 golfers, price total for the 4 golfers $200.16 ($50.04), all 4 checked in at the golf course shop, paid for the round and when I checked the receipt I notice that I was charged $52.68, I informed Cole that he had overcharged me and I was informed by him that is the price ($52.68) for the round and that he wouldn't change it, I showed him the reservation I made on Golf Now which showed the total price of the reservation ($200.16), he would not change it. Just wondering who else has had this problem!
Nice course but slow play
This is a nice course, greens are fast, and overall course is In good shape, rhough pace of play was so slow at times we had 4 foursomes o. One par 5 hole. Great practice facilities also
Not sure about their tee interval but there were 2 groups piled up on every tee, it was late on a Sunday afternoon. Teed at 2pm and sunset at 6:30 - we did not finish.
No ranger or anyone trying to move people along.
Oh well. It was a Saturday.
Course was great but they're starting to overbook like Bloomingdale and Cypress Creek, creating a 5+ hour round. Plus, my tee time was changed from what I booked (move to 15 minutes later) and I don't really appreciate that.
Poorly Managed
The golf course is fine, but there is no management. The last time I played, the tee times were 30 minutes behind schedule and it was only 10:00 a.m. The "starter" was doing nothing and there was a traffic back-up at the first tee. Complete chaos. When we finally got started, it took over 5 1/2 hours to get the round in.
I was going to try it again and scheduled a tee time for 11:07 on March 12. However, my plans changed so I called in on March 10 to cancel the reservation (you cannot cancel it on line). I got their voice mail which instructed me to leave a message, so I left a message to cancel the reservation. I thought that was done until I was notified 2 days later that they had charged my American Express for 4 rounds of golf ($196). I called them and spoke to a rep in the pro shop who said he couldn't help me. He transferred me to the GM, but I got his voice mail. I left him a message but did not get a call back, so I called again the next day and left another message. I still have not gotten a call back.
Buyer beware - this is a very poorly run organization. I have disputed the charge with American Express, but should not have to go through that process. I have no choice, though, due to their lack of management.
No such thing as pace of play
I have been playing this course off and on for 10+ years. Course was in decent shape, they put $$ into the tee boxes which is great. For as much play as this course gets, the greens were in good shape and very fast.
We had to leave after we finished the 15 hole, it was 4:15 already and there were 2 groups waiting on the 16th. Would of likely been a 5hr 15min round which is unacceptable.
No starter or ranger to speak of.
Great layout for Florida
This course will challenge you, and has some nicely designed holes. They get a lot of play here, so expect a slower round. The conditions are decent. Pretty firm turf, with good roots to the grass. Greens are ok- I think this is the one place that could be improved to make this a real good track. Truthfully- coming from Michigan I am not super familiar with how tough it is to keep Bermuda grass greens good. Spoiled on bent grass, but we can't play golf in February!
Wonder what this course is like peak season..
Played a round with the boys after a 36 hour rain shower. Weather was great after the rain - 75 and sunny. Overall the course conditions were good. Front 9 was a little wet but the back 9 was pretty dry. Staff was very friendly and pace of play wasn’t an issue. Cart girl made her loops and saw us 3-4 times during our round. I’d recommend this course even after a rainy day. Would love to see what it’s like during peak season since I t’s got some fun holes.
