Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Very nice
everything about the course is getting better. Finally the tee boxes are improving.
Overbooked and Slow Pace
The poor rating for this course is based primarily on experiencing how overbooked they were when we played and the slow pace of play. First, our booked tee time of 10:52 was unilaterally changed by the course to 11:00. Yet, we still didn't tee off until 11:20 due to the backlog of groups on number 1. It then took 2:45 to play the front nine and fortunately enough groups in front of us decided to quit so we played the back in 2:10.
There was never a ranger that we saw, but the cart girl was pleasant and efficient and the service at the bar after was exceptional.
Horrible management, however, to have allowed the overbooking.
Pace of play despicable
The course will send out 20 groups at once and you will wait 15-20min at every tee box. Played here 3 times in the last 3 weeks and haven’t finished a round in under 6 hours. Save your money and go to a course that cares about their golfers. Might be in solid condition but what‘s the point.
Really unfortunate because the course is pretty good and challenging but the pace of play is one of the worst I’ve seen. Second time in a row where the round has been 5.5+ hours. Save your money unless you don’t mind waiting around 10 minutes each shot
Slow Play
The last 3 times I played at Summerfield it took between 5 and 6 hours to complete the round. Several foursomes stacked up an nearly every tee box. There are no real starters and no rangers to regulate the pace of play.
Average course
High cost for average course. Not I great condition. Slow pace of play. Not my first choice for next play day. I play weekly at different courses in the area.
Everything that could go wrong, DID
Afternoon, we arrived on tyme only to have to wait for a cart because they didn't have any avaialble. Once out- there were no ranger's on the course so one could be imagined the pace o play was beyond extremely sloe. We played a "mere" 9-holes in 3 hrs.15 minutes!!! At that tyme along with the twosome we played with decided to call it quits as we all traveld a distance and wouldn't finish in a tymely manner as well as get home after dark!
When I approached the Pro Shop's front desk to request even a credit for the nine holes not palyed it was a direct denial at which point I was much too tired to fight 'em and certainly would not come back again... all for now but think twice before making your next reservation at this ill-ran course!!!
This course is starting to get really expensive!
Course has made improvements but prices are starting to be crazzzzy!
Beautiful course
The place was great, issues with getting a cart, frustrating, but eventually worded it out.besdes that the new additions done to the course are outstanding and course in great shape
Getting Better
The driving range and short game area is 100% better. A few fairways need some attention. Overall a good course.
Last couple of times I rated this better
Last couple of times I rated this better, but upon closer inspection it's a cow pasture. The greens are ok, but not great. Fairways are garbage. Tee boxes average. Unless they water, stay away
Needs improvement
The staff are very friendly. Pace of play was slow. No course marshal. When we made the turn to #10 we had a 5some show up in front of us out of nowhere. Called the clubhouse to let them know. They said someone would come out and deal with it. No one did. Took just shy 5 hours to play.
Greens and fairways need a lot of work. Course is dry and hard.
I don’t like giving tuff reviews but this course is in need of ALOT of TLC
It’s been awhile
It’s been almost 2 years since I played here. Wow. A lot of changes to the practice area. Great changes. The course is the same. A great layout. Pace of play was a little slow but it was Sunday. Staff was very nice. I will be back.
Very slow pace of play
The new practice facility will be excellent once it is fully operational (new practice putting green not yet open). New greens need time to mature.
Cart girl (Brianna) was outstanding - very friendly and we saw her on multiple occasions.
But you need to address the operational aspects of getting players off at their reserved time and moving play along. We had a 45-minute delay followed by a 5-hour round. I won't be back until that gets addressed.
