Course conditions
Course is in good shape greens were punched and they're coming back. Pace of play was fantastic. T boxes are still rough.
Horrific
Terrible condition. Cart died twice. Second time I called for an hour and never got an answer at the club house. Had to pack my stuff up and walk back to my car.
Terrible
Cart barely ran. Had to push it to get it up every hill. Died on #7. New cart was no different. New cart dies on #17. Called clubhouse for an hour and never got an answer. Wife and I had to walk back to the club house while carrying all our stuff. Pair that with terrible course conditions and it was not worth it. I haven’t played a round there in 10-15 rounds where the cart didn’t die. But dying twice in one round and the clubhouse not answering was a first. Awaiting a response from them.
Piece of plate was wonderful. Greens are end good shape.
Absolutely beautiful course
It was an absolutely beautiful course. First time playing in GA. Stunning view with fall in season. The only thing I would say negative about this place is the amount of golf balls lost because of grass beside the greens and leafs.
Stranded on hole 15
I paid to play 18 holes. Got through hole 13 and noticed the cart was starting to die so I headed straight back to the clubhouse. Made it to hole 15 and the cart completely died. This happened at 4:45pm. I tried calling the clubhouse that claims to be open until 5:30 but no answer. At 5:30 a nice lady who lives in the neighborhood came through and offered to drive me on her golf cart back to the clubhouse. Clubhouse was completely locked at 5:30 pm. Had to drive out as close as I could get to my cart by the road and haul my stuff to my car. Very poor customer service.
Course full of potential lacking care
This course in no way is worth the cost of playing. The tee boxes and bunkers and hard as concrete. The rough is so tall that it is next to impossible to find your ball as it’s buried at least 3 inches deep. The greens had weeds growing all over the place making a smooth line hard to find. It’s a course that could be amazing, but sadly has been neglected. I will not play it again.
Play
This is a great course to play. Great layout and challenging holes love it. It’s a must play very challenging and will make you hit your shots. I will play again next time I come into town.
Not even worth the price at $13
The course is ran with no passion or care for the game or people who choose to come here. I've played this course a few dozen times over the past few years and it has been STEADILY getting worse and worse. The fairways are equal to a rough, I have lost balls on the fairway. The rough is worse than a cow pasture, the bunker's have not been touched in months and the greens are covered in weeds! There's broke down golf carts all over the place, no water at the fill stations, the club is still closed for some reason. They do NOT care about the experience. It is the worse golf course within 50 miles. Stay away unless you really just want cheap bad golf.
not worth it
Greens were un-puttable....fairways extremely hard....bunkers were not kept up...not worth the value at this time of year...
Just say no
Complete waste of money:
Greens recently punched - no advance notice from the clubhouse.
Tee boxes are a disaster.
Fairways are like hitting off the parking lot.
Oh and my cart died halfway through the round.
Absolute disaster.
Where are the workers?
I don’t think I’ve ever played a round of golf before where I didn’t see a single worker the whole round. I guess they got the day off, but judging from the course condition, they don’t do much anyway. I agree with the prior reviews. Greens, sand traps, tee boxes, and rough are all neglected. The fairways are decent, but that is it.
Coweta Club Won't be open long
Used to be a god track, Now, play it while you can for $30 it won't be here long. Bunkers need sand and the grass cut. Nice clubhouse but the only thing open is the golf shop. restaurant and bar hasn't been open in years.
Feel sorry for the people that built nice homes here when this course closes their home values will drop as well.
Course has changed
When get to the first tee noticeable that the course Maintenance is needed. Bunkers not in good shape and some have no sand along with grass growing in them. The greens are barking for help. They are letting go the fairways. If your shot is not on the fairway, you are not going to find your ball. It is painful. They must have other plans for this course, it is not golf.
Is it worth $27?
The Coweta Club at Arbor Springs is the perfect golf course if you are looking to play fast, while also ending up losing 10 golf balls. We aren’t playing in tne US Open so there really shouldn’t be a reason it’s next to impossible to find your ball in the rough. The greens themselves were just aerated & you there were weeds everywhere. It was quite literally putting on sand. Lastly, our golf cart died on the beginning of the 18th, which was around 4:30. We called the club house but they were already closed, on a friday? As of right now the course is crap, but if you don’t care and are okay with spending $27 just to regret it, by all means is this the course for you.
Greens are trashed. Grass died then they plugged and sanded. Impossible to putt.
Used to be an absolute gem
The course has changed a lot since I played last. Worth every penny on a hot deal or hot deals last year. The course and just about everything isn’t as manicured anymore. The pro shop has much less merchandise. They removed most of the cart restricting parts, so people drive almost right up the the greens.
TLDR: Worth $20 a round today. Used to be worth every penny of $40. Sad to see the course go downhill. Hope it gets some funding and returns to older standards.
