Achasta Golf Club

Man I'll tell you God smiled on us today. It rained the whole drive up 400. Still raining on route 60 turn into Achasta The rain stops. Now to the course She is in great shape greens are fast and smooth. The bunkers both fairway and green-side are in great shape. They promote hitting good shots out of them. Fairway are in good shape. If I had to lodge a complaint it would be about the tee boxes. I'm sure they will get those right but no an issue that effects your experience. Take a ride up there. I will be back soon.

One of the best layouts I have played. The fairways were nice and wide, but the approach shots made you think. Par 3's were challenging. The greens could have been in better shape, but were not bad. Some tee boxes need (more) work. Fairways were in immaculate shape.

The only complaint I have is that the carts could have had rain canopies. It was raining when we teed off, but luckily it stopped soon after, otherwise our bags would have been soaked. One would expect better from a high-end/Arnold Palmer course.

Enjoyed another round at Achasta yesterday afternoon. They'd had a big storm the previous day so fairways were soaked and it was understandably cart path only. Conditions were otherwise very good as usual and staff seemed genuinely happy to have us there. We were a twosome and played In 3:30. I find the course to have a great mix of holes and now that I've played it a few times better understand how to play the somewhat quirky ones (4, 9, 15). Hope to get back again while the leaves are turning!

Great course,,, fairways and greens were excellent

Great layout! Beautiful course set in the mountains, but not a hilly course at all. Greens were a bit beat, but rolled true. Normal prices are sky high. If you can get on with a Hot Deal, well worth it.

A great Nicklaus course designed in the river valley of Birch River. Outstanding conditions and pace of play. Great holes and use of the river in this design. A true test of golf.

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Course is in excellent condition!! We will be back.

First timer. Great Nicklaus layout, great views. Course in great condition. Yardages well marked. Great practice facility.

I live near chateau elan and wanted a change of scenery. Hot deal and course conditions made it well worth the 55 minute drive.
Can't wait until next time. .

Greens are very soft and slow. Hard to make putts.

Course is in good shape and drying out. Greens are a little slow but think they haven't been cut in a day or so, still rolling nice.. A few to many ball marks not repaired which most semi-private or private courses seem to have. Come on members, know you are wealthy, but bend over and repair your divits :). Great lay out, allows you to work the ball off the tee fade or draw. If you are hitting well you should go low here.

NO other course offers the amenities, sights, sounds or Green to Tee quality of Achasta! I felt like I was on tour with the amazing conditions. Don't worry about the long drive. You'll be glad you went.

Conditions were excellent which is a nice change from most courses around here this spring. Fairways are lush and the greens are rolling very well. With the discount I got to play here it makes it a no brainer. Will be back for sure. We played the blues which is fair and challenging. Only thing I would have liked to have was a pin chart on the cart. Had no idea where the pins were but I always shoot at the middle anyway so not really that important for my level.

I had driven by Achasta numerous times, and had always wanted to play it. It did not disappoint in any way. It was a great layout that was in great shape. Greens were not all that fast, but rolled extremely true and smooth. Pace of play was also great, unlike most public courses closer to Atlanta.

Beautiful course. Had a free foursome hot deal and man did we ever take advantage of it. one of the nicest courses I've played. Just a long way from home. We drove 1.5 hrs but it was well worth it.

Beautiful course, immaculate conditions. Pace of play was right at 4 hrs. Well worth the trip.

The beauty of the georgia foothills is all this course! The course winds back and forth across a stream 12 times making the hazard in play on more holes than not. Frankly, I should have played one tee forward. Greens did have some disease, but understandable with the winter here. Definetly at least 4.5 stars

So for the golf now price this place was a good deal. The greens were in good condition but the fairways were still very brown. It had several damp areas on the fairway as well.
