Excellent value, a hidden gem
I really enjoyed playing this course. Although a little off the beaten path for golfers within or on the outskirts of North Atlanta, I believe a longer trip to play this course is well warranted. The condition of the course were excellent tee to green. The only reason I didn't rate the condition with 5 stars was because the greens had been recently sanded a little - not enough to cause a major problem of any kind though.
I found the tee shots to be very reasonable, even of a shaky driver like myself, but there are certainly enough challenges to demand respect. In fact, the same could be said for the course in general.
Crystal Falls is definitely worth a try if you can find the time!
so close to Private Status
Overall the course is in good shape and well worth the drive. The only exception to the good rating is the fact that they charge for range balls which is very poor considering the private status of this club. I would think a club utilizes Sites like GolfNow not only to bring in additional sources of revenue but also to promote the club itself to potential members. Charging for Range balls is like getting an invitation to a party with a BYOB. Poor taste and image!
Not a good course fee
We only played nine holes due to weather and will not give us a refund for not playing the back nine.
Ashamed!
Great golf & a must play in the North Georgia mtns!
Played in a tournament at the falls and played a practice round the day prior. Both days were better than ideal conditions...This is a great course with a mix of holes. Some holes are open while some get a little tight. I really enjoyed the mix of par-3s as well with my favorite hole being the short 11th! Plenty of birdies available with the reachable par-5s but they are not easy by any means! Great practice area and clubhouse...Really can't wait to make another trip up here to play crystal falls!
Great course!
Course was in excellent shape. Slightly less than a four hour round with our foursome.
Great course and great value!
I am impressed with the course - layout and overall condition. This is a great value!
Very Pleased
Love this course. Greens were fast and true but receptive. I played with a neighbor and a friend visiting from England botph thorough enjoyed themselves.
Great course by any measure
Always a fun course in great condition. Try this place out and you won't be disappointed.
The course was in great shape!
Greens were rolling great, fairways and rough were manicured nicely!
Discrimination
We feel at least one of the course employee or may be more are racist.
Wow Factor
If you have not played this course I would highly recommend. We played during the week so the crowds were low. In fact only one other group was on the course when we played. My son who has not played before was able to hit extra balls here and there because we were not rushed. The fairways are wide and huge. I shot my lowest round ever! A little drive to get there but worth every penny! Try it out.

So glad we chose this course to play. Sunday looked busy but never waited after 2nd hole. Greens rolled very true, well marked sprinkler heads (had front/middle/back yard ages). Nice layout with no silly holes. Good landing areas, well maintained bunkers. Will definitely be back. One of my new favorite courses. Couldn't rate the food or beverage, didn't have opportunity to try them, but water coolers on the course were full and very cold.
Tough driving course with great views
The course is great with awesome practice facilities. Several of the holes, especially on the back nine, are very difficult driving holes that require very long carries, just to make it to the fairways. There were two holes where even a a very good drive came short of the fairway and my second shot was from the rough with an acqward stance. The course has beautiful views on many holes.
Good course
We played about 1.5 weeks after aeration and the greens were decent. Rest of course was in great shape- would definitely recommend.
Excellent course.
Anyone will enjoy this great course. Enjoyed playing here.
Hidden Gem!
Had not heard much about Crystal Falls but what I heard was really good and the course didn't disappoint! Immediately noticed the quiet and flowing water of the creek that winds along the course! A very challenging course, especially playing it for first time as there are many blind shots For the first-timer. Loved the 18th - very beautiful and challenging finishing hole. Only knock was the greens had recently been aerated and there was not an aerificatiom alert listed on GolfNow. However, don't let that hold you up - Go Play It!
Great course
Highly recommend...better condition than some country clubs!!
Hidden Pearl
Out in the middle of nowhere in North Atlanta area this course has character and is well designed. In good shape as fairways like all others now have not completely filled in but green true and speed around 10-11. Staff friendly and cost of beverages and food very good. Three of the Par 3's are on the short side but it has several significant par 4s even from the white tees that will test you. Par 5s are also tough as the course undulation requires tee shots and approach shots with a lot of thought. Play it!
Excellent course
Great greens! Tre boxes and fairways in good condition..... Finished in 3.5 hours!
If you paid the full rack rate then you have every right to complain. If you played for a discounted rate like twilight rate, early bird special, online discount or a senior rate then it's a different story. Almost always the online rate you pay is a discounted 9 hole rate that the course gives a percentage of to the 3rd party. Although if the golf shop offered a coupon for a free cart fee for your next round that would have been something instead of nothing. I'm sure you would have appreciated that and used it for a return trip. It sucks but there at alot of factors that go into the decision not to issue raincheck or refund. Was the forecast for guaranteed rain that day? I have played before at numerous courses and I was told when I checked in that the rain would begin in 2 hours and no refunds would be given. I understood and ended up playing 12 or 13 holes and had a great talk me because the expectation had already been set. Sorry you had a bad experience with the customer service at CF but the the course is pretty awesome and very well maintained. Maybe give it another shot and pack a rain jacket. Lol.
