Greens were fast, fairways grass was matted down. Looks like they took alot of trees out. Maybe it will be better when it warms up.

I'll preface this by saying we've had a very cold and wet winter with lots of flooding rain. However, the layout here has always been very questionable with holes "forced" into area not conducive to reasonable golf. Tees are dirt, no grass, lots and lots of tree cutting and chipping has left wood chips all over the sides of fairways. Several hole have tilted fairways and the cart paths are torn up and very bumpy. Several wet areas, practically swamp. Greens are fair.

This was my first time playing Bear Creek and I was thoroughly impressed with the conditions for winter. There is a lot of improvements being made to ensure a pleasurable experience.

It has been years since we have played here and we were not aware of the improvements they are working on. We had a good day and really enjoyed the course. We will definitely be back soon.

Enjoyable day out with the crew playing 18. Course condition is about what you would expect this time of year. Sure could use about a week of no rain and warm temps.

Played this course dozens of times over many years and enjoyed it very much overall, but course conditions have gradually worsened and now just not much fun to play anymore. Greens are smooth and very fast, but tees are mostly bare of grass and have to search for a spot that is not dirt, very poor. Fairways are only slightly better and 2 of them almost unplayable (#12 and 17), with large sections of mud and sand in areas where tee shots would land and ball must be moved, if retrievable, fairly far away to play. Many, many areas of cart path have broken spots, high ridges, etc that make them rough to drive over as well.
Staff extremely friendly at course and location very convenient and serene for playing, and they have almost completely resodded a couple of tee boxes so they should be playable in the near future, but hitting off of dirt tee boxes and almost dirt fairways definitely affects ability to make good ball contact and enjoy playing. With 2 fairways semi unplayable plus Hole #16 changed to a 90-yard Par 3 hitting from a driving range artificial grass mat tee and not fun at all, this is basically now a 15-hole course with the nice greens the only positive feature in terms of course conditions. Hope they improve the course in the coming months, but believe this may be my last time playing this one for quite awhile.

The cart paths have more pot holes then the roads in Blue Sates. Need to repair them

The pro shop closed early. This seems to be the norm now at all courses. You can even get a beer after your round. I guess no one cares to work after 4 pm.

I have bee playing this course for several year and it is in great shape. The layout is fun, scenic, and challenging, with excellent greens.The staff members are very friendly and always helpful. This is my go-to gold course.

We had a 9:30 tee time but all tee times were pushed back by a 1/2 hour because it looked like they had their men’s league go off first, which should have been better scheduled. The gentleman at the front desk and the starter were not very pleasant and were actually kind of rude to several of the customers which is not what we were accustomed to here.
The course was in good shape, the greens look good and will be even better in a few weeks. Lots of new construction going on which had us excited. Can’t wait to see what the course would play like when it’s completed.

Terrible course . Told them my fourth was not coming and they said that was fine and I wouldn’t be charged and then I was charged anyways . Will not be going there again. Overall terrible experience .

Have played this course many times over the years and mostly enjoyed it very much, but some conditions in flux and do not care for recent changes in layout. Greens and most fairways in good condition, tee boxes are kind of hit and miss with a few having little grass and some having new sod installed recently. Several areas of cart paths pretty rough to drive and some large areas of trees recently cleared, making those areas very unattractive at this time. Changed the fun hole #16 from a par 4 to a very weak par 3 due to installation of driving range, absolutely hate hitting off fake grass driving range mats to play a hole less than 100 yards and not fun at all. Staff is always very friendly and know they have larger plans for additional changes to the layout of some holes to improve the course in the future, but having to pay fairly high prices for currently overall lower quality conditions than in the past has me playing there much less often than I did previously, as I can enjoy myself more for lower greens fees and better conditions at other courses.
