Slow pace/ unfriendly staff every time
The only course I've ever booked on golf now where they charge you more than what it says you owe at the course.. Greens were in poor shape compared to other courses in the area. Pace of play was the slowest I've played all summer, they had some kind of mini 9 hole tournament going on but of course the staff did not tell us or allow us to just play the back 9 first.. Would not recommend for the rest of this golf season.
Hot day in July
The water jugs were empty on a day with temperatures in the high 90's
Greens need A LOT OF WORK
Fairfax has the potential to be one of the best course in the OKC area but right now the greens on most of the holes are in terrible shape. Splotches and I repaired divots (I must have repaired 20 during my round). Fairways were nice, burmuda rough makes for challenging shots if you find it but the greens were flat out awful. I would expect that from a muni not Fairfax. Definitely not worth the rack rate. Won't be back until I hear of significant improvements. Too many others good courses in the area in way better conditions for the same or cheaper rates.
One of Okc's best
Great course, challenging, great shape, with nice houses along most holes. I have played it several times and always enjoy playing there.
A Lush Round in Oklahoma
Course conditions are exceptional even though it got hit with 5.5 inches of rain in one afternoon last week. Very playable and challenging from the Blue Tees. GolfLogix still had the old #18 on the GPS so that was some annoyance. Great golf experience. Definitely will return!
Great features
This is a great course for the money and if I lived closer I would look at being a member.
Course is in great condition
I played here two years ago and I probably would have rated it at 2 stars. Now, a solid 4. The only area of improvement might be to take better care of a couple tee boxes. Hole 18 was like sticking the tee into concrete.
challenging course
lots of slope to this layout demands you keep the ball in play off the tee. The greens roll very well.
Clubhouse personel could use some manners
I booked a golf now hot deal that was shown as 1 to 4 players and booked as a single. The other three spots in group all sold to other people.
Get to the course and go to check in and instead of saying hi or how you doing or you are paired with all I got was a cold and disgusted attitude of "how did you book as a single" I told him Golf Now had it as 1 to 4 and he rudely told me I will have to talk with her about that as they are all supposed to be 2 to 4. Now that said welcome. Yeah I really felt welcome.
Course was in good shape had recovered from all the recent rain and was dry and fast. Enjoyed shape was in and people I was paired with but will think twice about booking another hot deal there after the welcome I got.
Will Definitely Be Back
The course was in pretty good shape. The fairways were nice, but a few of the greens were a little sandy. This threw me off of my putting speeds from hole to hole which was a little aggravating. Other than that, the course was great! Nice Driving Range and Putting Green.
Great Course
I did not rate the food and beverage rating because we did not order any.
The course was very nice and in great shape, the greens were being aerated. I am not a very good golfer but the course was perfect for my skill set and very fun to play.
Nice course, great value, we'll be back, one BIG flaw.
Course very convenient to get to from the freeway. First impression - very nice place. Brothers gettogether n OKC area for the weekend and found this great deal. Staff was very nice. Course in great shape. Water on several holes and some very challenging greens that held shots nicely. The only downside was the 18th hole - at the end of the driving range - range balls all over the place and some incoming during play - dangerous problem that needs correcting. We will definitely come back to play again.
Conditions
Course layout was great but it was in tough condition .
Worst pace of play EVER!
T boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. I paid for 18 holes but had to leave at 13 was on a 7hr pace. Absolutely un acceptable. If you have an entire day to waste
Sitting in a cart and hitting a shot every 3-4min. And 10 on t-boxes. Then you will. Love this course. I will probably not return
Fairfax
Fairfax is a fun course to play. There are some unique holes.

Beutiful Day
I had a hard time figuring out were I was supposed to pull up to park my vehicle. I think the club house should be better marked. Now when it came to the course it was in great shape. Would have rated higher but I can only play this course when there is a "GNDeal". It looks like the money is going to upgrading the facilities.
Thank you for taking the time to play at Fairfax recently and write your review. We realize we were very limited on parking space while building our new parking lot and I apologize if you had a difficult time with parking but, you will be happy to know, we have completed our parking lot construction. We hope that you will consider us for you next round of golf to see how our completed upgrades have turned out. Thanks again for playing Fairfax Golf Club and we hope to see you out again soon.

Great course
Challenging course, beautiful fairways and greens in excellent condition. Only dealt with Mike in the pro shop, but he was very friendly and offered some guidance for the more challenging holes. Bring some water balls and hope the wind doesn't blow too hard.
Thank you for you kind words about my Head Golf Professional Mike Stewart, PGA. He is second to none in the customer service department and we are glad to have him as a staff member here at Fairfax Golf Club. I would also like to thank you for the kind words reguarding the golf course. My superintendent John Burright, GCSAA and his crew have worked around the clock to ensure the course is in premier condition. We hope to see you out again very soon.

Beautiful design, very challenging
Every hole has something unique to offer. 18 is one of the most spectacular finishing holes I have ever played!
Dave5731957,
Thank you for your kind review! Nationally known architect Mark Hayes did the renovation on our 18th hole and practice facility and we sure are very pleased with the result. We think it is the best finishing hole around and can't wait for everyone to get out and play since we opened it late last fall. We really appreciate you coming out an playing our course and hope to see you out again soon.

Excellent
Beautiful course challenging off the tee. Greens good condition. No starter was a problem w groups of 5 golfers playing and slowing things down. Took 4 :45 mi to finish
Beautiful
This course is beautiful. Definitely one of the best in the central oklahoma area. Great price for fantastic looking greens and fairways.
u000006115554,
I apologize for the slow play. We did have a Junior High School golf tournament on the day you played. Unfortunately, the tournament showed up with a couple of extra teams that slowed it down a bit more. Normally we would build in enough cushion on our tee sheet for regular play to reamin unaffected. Tournaments of this type do typically take a touch longer but we feel that junior golf is very, very, very important to the future of the game so we try to hold at least a couple events for the kids each year.
If you would, I would like the opportunity to make up for it. As you can tell by our other 101 reviews we typically get you around at a very good pace, especially on Mondays. I apologize for the pace you experienced and think you might feel differently if you give us another chance. If you decide that is an option for you, give me a call and I will happily take care of a round for your group next time. If you would like to take advantage of my offer, give me a call; (405) 359-8333 ext. 3
Sincerely,
