Fun water challenge
Played after they had over 3,5 inches of rain course was in great shape with the exception of 16 which had a mudslide due to construction. Laid up with eight iron and used fairway wood to clear obstacles. We will put this course on our monthly play schedule.
Pleasant Surprise
Very challenging course lay out, beautiful cart paths winding through tree lined housing. Wouldn't be a walkers course for me. Only Gray area, no driving rang. Great putting green. The staff was very helpful, great first impression.
You will enjoy this course
It is a neat layout that is in good playing condition and should give most any golfer a real challenge.
Course in great shape while they make upgrades
The driving range is currently closed as they make redesign of #18 and practice facilities. Hopefully they upgrade the clubhouse as it has seen better days. Overall, the golf course is in great shape. Lots a trees and decisions whether to hit long off the tee or play smart. Greens are rolling true and the staff is friendly. Hopefully a face lift is coming for the rest of the facilities.
Lots of water features
This is not a course you would want to walk. Some holes have quite a distance from green to the next tee. Housing developments have made a couple par 4's be shortened to par 3's. the driving range was under construction and looks to be some more hole changes coming soon but overall well maintained and great greens.
Great course
Great course lots of fun holes. From an elevated par three shooting at an island green to a 608 yd par 5 it had everything a public course can muster up. Greens were fabulous and fairways were in great shape.
Well Kept, Good Value
I would recommend this course above almost any others that GolfNow offers in OKC. Clean, well kept, and cheap when you get a Hot Deal.
Nice course.
Nice course good staff. Bathrooms had some issues and could be cleaned up.
Fairfax golf club
A ton have improvements have been made at this course and it shows. It is in great condition. I would like to see a marshal every now and then. We got behind a really slow group that would not let us go through, they had their only little 4 man scramble going which really messed things up. Other than that every thing was great. Great course
Course with Great variations hole by hole
This course is an excellent public play alternative to some of the private course which I have been a member in central Oklahoma. Good lay out for the property available in OKC.
Great Day of Golf
This was the second time to play this course and it was made better because I was playing with my son. The course was in great shape, freeways and green were well maintained. I look forward to the next time I can play the course.
Good Monday AM Golf Course
I play here on Mondays when my club is closed and I have guests in town. Easy to get on in the morning, price is right and can play fast. Played yesterday with cart trails only in 3 hours with know one in front of us.
Home of the 5 1/2 hr round
The course itself was in very good condition after the rains we had the previous week. The staff was rude in the club house and there were absolutely no marshals to keep the pace of play to being anywhere close to reasonable. We had to wait on every single shot and at times had 4 groups backed up on a tee box. Marshals could have made this outing much more enjoyable.
I would recommend this course if you can get an early tee time and NOT on a weekend. The course is challenging and you really need to play it for the first time with someone who is familiar with the course. Overall a very good conditioned course and challenging, just don't expect ANY help from the staff.
Great
Loved every second, a great place to get away and play golf!
You get what you pay for
When I played this course I got a good deal and so I played it for $16. The course isn't maintained that well. The tee boxes and greens are patchy at times but it's fun to play for cheap, just be prepared to lose a lot of balls unless you're a very good golfer.
Nice course, great condition, well maintained.
They take good care of this course. Great condition.
Golf
Very nice golf course very nice when fully green I even took my son we had a blast pace of play was not bad would definetly recommend this course to anyone looking for a very nice place to play and relax
Fun, challenging course
The greens were lightning fast and so true. I had a fun and challenging time putting on the greens. Another great part of the course were the obstacles next to almost all fairways (mostly water). There were also some easy short birdie holes mixed with LONG par 4s. There were 2 downfalls in my opinion. 1) it's early in the year and grass is not thick and green so the grounds were brown but also very thin in some areas making some shots difficult going into the green. I'm sure this won't be a summer issue however. 2) some of the fairways were too narrow and too short. My partner hit a great drive on one particular hole and it was on the left part of the fairway. However, when we got to where the drive went his ball was gone because there was no room. The course isn't marked well and doesn't accurately portray distance. We played from the tips and for long hitters, some par 4s you need to hit mid irons. We did have a lot of fun though and are looking forward to another trip in the summer.
You need to stay in the fairway
The course was in great shape. The greens had been aerated awhile back and were still a little sandy but rolled real good. This course has always been a favorite of mine, tight fairways and water make it a must to be precise.
Good course
Fairfax was a fun course to play. Prices were quite reasonable with the golfnow discount.
Looking forward to returning when the fairways green up.
