Good Day
The. course was in average condition for this early in the season and bring aerated last week.
Great value for seniors and county residents
One thing I love about this course is the 4 9 hole sections divided into North and East, and South and West, that add more variety and flexibility to the experience. A great value with discounts for senior and county residents which usually shaves 10 dollars off the standard fees. Friendly staff always and a nice grill and bar area. Also there is a conveniently located driving range and putting area within close distance to the starter and pro shop. The course is kept in good condition and one thing you don’t find on most courses are the ball and club cleaners attached to each cart. Highly recommend this course.
Slow Play Can be avoided!
If you have a frost delay, cart path only and your morning starter sends out 5somes and 6somes (who probably claimed they would split up but dont) - then every round will be almost 5 hours. Additionally the starter is there to get people on the course, if a single says they can play anytime then get them on the course so you can get other walkons out there and make $$$
Not happy this time!
I’ve played compass point several times over the last few years but this time the experience was pretty bad. For a course that is $70 per round in February, my entire group expected more. The course was in pretty lousy condition. I understand we had a lot of rain in Thursday but the course is draining very poorly. There were a ton of traps that still had a foot of water in them, standing water in fairways, greens with poorly repaired areas, and tons of spots without any grass at all. All of the tee boxes were mushy and there were better spots that were dry.
Also, the snack shack only had hotdogs. Not that I don’t like hotdogs but the man behind the counter said that the Sysco truck never showed up so there weren’t any other food options. I know stuff happens but I expect a much better experience when paying $70+ dollars for a round of golf in February.
On top of that, the credit card machine at the range doesn’t work so I had to walk back to the clubhouse to go buy a bucket of balls. It would’ve been nice if someone in the pro shop mentioned that when I first arrived and paid for my round.
Overall, it was a really bad experience and I hope they make improvements before the golf season starts.
Course is nice
Course just thawed out and was a swamp January 1. Cost was high for winter golf . The snack bar was not prepared for winter golfers- no one to make bloody Mary’s let alone have hot dogs ready
Thank you for playing. Hope to see you back out soon.
