Great Bang for the Buck
This course is a hidden gem 30 minutes outside Charlotte! Course is in great shape for as much rain as we have had. Staff is always friendly and accommodating!
Mid-December golf
Merry Christmas to all. Enjoyed a beautiful 65 degree day playing 18 challenging holes, especially since they made it CART PATH ONLY today, not even with my handicapped lanyard (new knees this year). Made it tougher and a smidge slower, but not bad. Were no water coolers at all nor ball washers which I thought to be odd.
Balue
The course is in excellent condition. Great value and easy drive to get to. Challenging and fun layout
After The Rain Strom
After reading weather report for Sunday 12-1-2019 we knew it would be wet! No problem this course drains better then most course in Charlotte area! Noted only a few other groups out on the course...who also braved the weather. No more rain, sun comes out temperature rise into the 60's.Red Bridge wet or dry get FIVE STARS! One of my FAVORITE courses in the area.
Good layout, great value
Fun course about 30-40 minutes from Charlotte. Hilly and scenic, but despite the constant terrain changes, it's a manageable course with few blind shots. Several holes force you to make strategic decisions. It got in for under $30 but would've felt I got my money's worth if I paid double that. Minus a couple of weeded tee boxes, the course was maintained well. My only criticisms: It's definitely not a walking course because of the layout (1-4 are a bit removed from the rest of the 18), and the Par 3s (there are five of them) could be a lot more challenging. But I'll happily return to play this course.
A good track
Great new course. Can be tough and very challenging in some holes.
First time playing the Hidden Gem!!
I was looking for a course where I have not played and ran across this and the online pics made the course look nice. The actual was even better than the pics! The course was in Great condition and had some interesting holes where creativity comes into play!
When checking in the guy in the Pro Shop was helpful and asked if this was my first time playing so gave me a hole layout book which was sweet!
Will definitely be back again!!
Hidden gem!
Despite being nearly an hour away, I’ll definitely be back very soon. Outstanding layout, great condition and a fair price.
Enjoyable Round/Bonus Early Start
Red Bridge has always been in good shape when I've played it. This time was no exception. I booked a "Hot Deal" on GolfNow and with an impending rain storm expected about the time my round was due to start I went to the course early hoping to get out sooner. I was able to play as a single going out two hours ahead of my usual tee time. Some courses don't allow that with a hot deal but I was pleasantly surprised the staff at Red Bridge let me do that. Outside of a few sprinkles I was able to get the round in before any heavy stuff hit. Greens rolled true and as always you have to keep it in the fairway on this course or you are in trouble. I had a few of those experiences in the rough but all in all, fun day for a round played in less than four hours.
Awesome Greens
Red Bridge is always in great shape! It’s a championship course and has some challenging holes. It will punish you if you don’t play the par 5’s smart. The Par 3’s on #9, and #16 are the toughest par 3’s. Don’t try and go for the green off the tee on #17, play it smart with a 6-5 iron to 100 yards out.
Enjoy.
Great Course. Great Value
Course is challenging and fun to play. Most holes require decent shots or you can find yourself in trouble.
Great greens. If the green is easy to reach, the putting will be a challenge
MISSING amenities
I could not get water
The fairways need some love
Gotta hit it straight and fairly long from white
Lots of opportunity to get into trouble if you can't hit 200 and straight from the tee. Better to follow the guidelines and move to Gold tees if higher handicap. Lots of hidden surprises that don't have warnings (hidden greens, ravines, etc.) -- first timers beware!
First time to play RB.
It was 92 degrees today with virtually no breeze. HOT!!! Course had cold drinking water in many locations. Thumbs up. Large undulating greens were receptive and quite fast. Stay in the fairway or you could lose your ball in the short rough. That happened several times. Frustrating. Layout was challenging but fun. I’ll be back for sure.
Always In Great Shape
Red Bridge has always been in good shape whenever I have played there. Pace of play was a little slow but it was to be expected on a weekend with two in our group that had not been out in a while. Greens rolled true, fairways were hard but very few bare spots.
Red Bridge Challenge
I play 1-2 per week in the Charlotte Metro area. From Tee to Green this course is one of the best public golf courses in the area. It will challenge your entire game and you can use every club in your bag. The greens, bunkers, short grass, fairways are all in great shape. Hole #10 is their famed hole and #18 should be a par 6!
Good luck and have a great round.
Nice course
I like this course. Always in pretty good shape and green fees are reasonable. Pace was a little slow but over all a good experience.
