Poor conditions, not worth drive from charlotte
I’ve played here twice. First time was a few years ago and I loved it. Challenging layout and good greens. Conditions today were bad. Greens have weeds everywhere and don’t roll at all. Tee boxes are dead and have no grass. We teed off at 9am and were waiting 10 mins at tee box by hole three - place was 4:50. I want to like this course, but the poor greens don’t justify the cost. Sifford rolls better. I said it and it’s true.
Firm and Fast
Course was firm and fast. Showing signs of coming into form for late spring early summer. Greens need some work as they are being overcome by crab grass patches causing some bumpy and unpredictable roll when putting. Hopefully they can get that sorted out soon. Otherwise well worth the drive from CLT and can’t beat the price!
Awesome course
Beautiful course, in great shape for this time of year. Cart paths are smooth.
We’ll definitely be going back.
Rough day
Course was very wet. Usually a great course, but all the rain made play poor.
Very Disappointed
Usually the course is ok to play. We were very disappointed today as the greens have weeds growing on them. Some of them were so bad that the ball would bounce all the towards the hole. It was almost impossible to get a good read on putts.

Challenging course
Fairways were in good condition for winter golf. Rough was stiff and unpredictable in hitting out of it. Greens rolled true, held the approach shot well, and were medium speed. Sand traps were in good condition. Lots of people made play very slow.
CART PATH ONLT, VERY WET.
THIS IS A VERY GOOD LAYOUT AND IS SOMEWHAT CHALLENGING. THE COURSE WAS STILL WET, AFTER A RAIN 2 DAYS AGO, SO IT WAS CART PATH ONLY. THE GREENS ARE THE REAL TEETH OF THIS COURSE. UNDULATIONS AND SLOPES REQUIRE YOUR VERY CAREFUL CONSIDERATION. .
Great Course
Frost delay for about an hour. The original tee-time was 9:24 got out there almost an hour later, had lots of people there but the pace of play was great. Greens were pure, pretty, and challenging. I'm from NY, and I can tell you to bring in NC this was a great course to start playing.
Good value
Fairways and roughs were in good condition. Greens held the approach shot well, rolled true, and were medium speed. Course was very busy.
Another great day
Although it was a little cool today it was sunny and dry. The course was well maintained and the staff, inside and out, were friendly and professional.
One of our regular group could not make it and a single joined us on the first tee. 'A' was a younger fellow with a superior game and is probably the best 'stranger' we've ever had to join us.
We're already checking for tee times next week and I'm thinking of joining as a member in 21...hope they can make me an offer I can't refuse!
Slow Play
Course okay but too overbooked and greens are chewed up .

Fun golf course with many risk/reward opportunities. Mark, the pro us a great teacher and nice guy.
Challenging Course
Some holes are pretty straight forward but others make you think and force you to set yourself up for an approach shot. Course was in decent condition for late November. Greens were super fast. Pace was very slow. Almost 5 hours. But overall experience was great.
