Big Bang For The Buck

The course was in superb condition. We have played the other public course at this complex, and was afraid The Highlands would mimic The Groves. Nothing could be further from the truth. From tee to green the condition of the course was excellent. I liked the gps in the cart. I liked the personnel in the pro shop. I liked everything about this course. Play it if you can.

Front 9 very bad shape

Staff very friendly and helpful but front 9 was in very bad shape and first few holes were unacceptable. Tee boxes had lost most of the grass and were mostly sand. Provided poor footing. All greens had been punched ( I understand that, especially this time of the year) but some of them were badly damaged. Big holes, a couple of feet in diameter ON THE GREEN! that had been filled with sand. The back 9 was in much better condition, still punched greens but no big holes.

If you can play nine on the back its ok but forget the front 9.

Loved it

I played several public courses using golfnow over the summer and The Meadow's Highlands was by far the best conditions and service for the price. I loved it so much I joined with a young professional membership.

Best course for the cost around

I’ve played a handful of local public courses this summer and in my opinion Highlands is the most well maintained and best course for the money. Love it there.

Unplayable conditions

The course should have not been open. There was so much water on the course from heavy rains for days that you walked in water up to your ankles! Of course, cart path only. But you walked in streams and could barely hit or find the ball! I lost two balls underwater in the fairway! Not to mention, the greens were rotted out on most of the greens. We were the only people we saw on the course that day.!

Are you kidding

This course was totally saturated by recent rains and yet they took our money and said “By the way it’s cart path only”! Really? This place should have been shut down because you couldn’t even walk on the fairway without your shoes being submerged. We miserably trudged along for 8 holes until the weather moved in. Most of the greens were under repair ( no mention of that!). What a mess! We have no future plans for this place! We are out of $26 per person. Bye

In the current condition, the course should be closed

The course should be closed at this time. The greens have been aerated, the fairways have been aerated and almost every hole is saturated. It is cart path only so you are walking in mud everywhere. After paying and getting to the first tee box, the starter informed us that is was cart path only. The guy at the counter neglected to inform us.

Great Value Course

I play this course regularly because of the layout. It has 18 interesting holes that are challenging for all handicaps. The back nine is in great shape. The front nine has a few greens that need work and they are actively improving them. The fees are among the lowest in the area and makes this course a great value.

Nice coarse. Kept up nice. There is a lot of staff maintaining the grounds. Some of the greens were recently airaited which made putting a little tricky but overall a nice round of golf.

Great course for all golfers

This is a fun course to play for all handicaps. Challenging but fair with generous fairways and big greens. They are continually working to improve the conditions. A great value for the price.

Greens healing

Greens are still healing from being aerated. Some fungus on a couple of greens. Fairways nice. Traps well taken care of. Nice play.

9 bad , 9 good

Played yesterday, first time at course Front 9 very tight with very poor greens ( due to neglect-not punching). Back nine very well maintained, greens good ( also aerified). I would go back only for the price ($26) and the back nine.

Carts

The cards have automatic shut off and restrict where you can go. They are a real pain. They cut off too far away from your ball many times, like the back of the Green or by the Water. I am not too sure that I will return here just due to that. The GPS in the cart is nice.
