Great fun
The course was in great shape for this time of year. Greens rolled true. The guy behind the desk was great very friendly. However we brought a 4 year old and there was another guy who wanted to let us know that his running on the
Greens would not be allowed. The kid is all of 30 pounds come on poor taste and I am not sure I would of called it running. Anyway we all thought this could of been handled differently. Also no drinks or snacks for the day. We made the best of it and enjoyed the day.
The Deuce at The National Golf Club of Kansas City
The course was in terrific condition . Finished the round in just more than 3 & 1/2 hours. Multiple teeing options allow the course to play as challenging as you like. Excellent value.
Great Track!
Love the elevation changes on this course. And was in great shape, per usual. Had a great time on a perfect Fall day!
Great course
The Duece was in immaculate shape for late September. Going back soon to play again. Everything (tees, fairways, greens) was in fantastic shape. Greens were very receptive and extremely fast and rolls true.
The Deuce
An outstanding course which is very challenging, tight layout, and perfect greens. I will definitely play it again. One of the best courses in Kansas City.
Fun and challenging
Son and I played and had good time. Elevation changes came into play a few times. Slopes made some chips a little difficult. Tuff putting on some pin placements. Enjoyed the course and will return with Golfnow discount only.
The course condition was pristine.
Big drawbacks were the course lenght, no hole number and distance between holes.
Very short holes with most par 4 at around 320 yards.
No hole numbers so unless you know where you are going, it's hard to keep track.
Also some holes are accross the highway from the last whole and again if you don't know where you are going you might get lost
Phenomenal golf course
Course was in excellent condition. The greens were a little slower than expected but for a short golf course the layout really makes up for it. Great value and look forward to playing again.
Best course around!
The course was in great shape. Only a couple of blind tee shots. The layout was very well balanced with straight fairways and dog leg fairways. The free range balls were awesome.
Great Course! Awesome customer service!
A friend and I played the Deuce yesterday (May 10th, 2017) and the course (from the 7 holes we saw, six of which we played) was great! Not very long but rough is long and ball placement is key. Sadly our round was cut short due to heavy rainfall after hitting our tee shots on the seventh hole. We decided to go to the pro shop just hoping we could get a rain check for 9 holes and not only did they do that but gave us a rain check for 18 holes! That made a fan out of me and not only will I be back for the rain check round but many times thereafter!
Excellent Course
Not a long course, but accuracy on many driving holes is a must. Plays a lot like courses at The Lake Of The Ozarks. Staff was very friendly in the pro shop and bar/grille. Wil definelty play this tract again
I never amagined
Course layout is good but the greens are awful! If I ran this course I'd shut it down before it's reputation is total destroyed.
Disappointing Course Conditions
I got a Groupon to play this private course and really liked the layout. There wasn't much excitement on the front, but the back had a bunch of fun holes and some with extreme elevation changes. The conditioning of the course left a lot to be desired. About 5 or 6 of the greens were in rough shape and if you were in the wrong spot, you couldn't get a good roll. About 75% of the sand traps were circled with white paint indicating they were ground under repair. How does this happen at a private course? There were also an abnormally large amount of zoysia patches in the fairways that were circled ground under repair.
Overall, I guess I'm glad I played it to say I did but I was really disappointed that it wasn't in better shape. I wouldn't recommend people to go play there for the $50 they're charging on Groupon. Hopefully they're planning to pump all the money from the 1,000+ Groupon they've sold back into the course.
Great Course, in fact, one of the best in Kansas City.
I love this course. It's challenging and it's almost always in near perfect conditions.
The front nine is on the north side of highway 45 and the back nine on the south side. The back nine has some unique holes which are especially fun to play.
