Makani Golf Club

Decided to play here based on local recommendations. Great surprise! Excellent mountain views and surroundings. Very good course conditions. Dye course characteristics (island green, lots of of wood bordering lakes)

Variety of hole designs will keep you interested

First round at Makani....love this course. The greens are true and sometimes fast. 5 sets of tee boxes....I played white and it was challenging. The wind that day made shot and club selection tricky. The signature 17th island green was fabulous...I did not do well on it. The staff outside and in pro shop were cheerful and helpful. Got 2 bottles of water for the round. This is now one of my favorites on the Big Island.

Great little course for the money, fairly tight and your shots have to be calculated to be successful. Would come back

Loved this course. This landscaping is gorgeous, plenty of wildlife, fresh mountain air w sea views, some challenging holes and some easier ones. Very helpful staff. What’s not to love? Can’t wait to play here again.

Might be our new favorite course on the big island. Great value, great views, very playable from the correct Tees.

Played here multiple times on this trip. Used every club in my bag. Course is in great shape and when played from the proper tees is a lot of fun. 5 sets of tees allows you to choose the right one for you. Wife and I both enjoy playing here. Great value.

POP was excellent, we got around in well under 4 hours and that was after our 2some merged with 2 other singles.

Amenities are very minimal but the course played very well.

Good conditions, played in 3 1/2 hours, greens were very good, nice finishing holes!

What a gorgeous golf course . Staff was delightful . Course in great shape. Challenging

First time playing this course. Five sets of tees so we could play appropriate yardage. Wife and I both had playable yardage. Course was in overall very good condition, especially the greens. Views were great also. We will definitely play again during this vacation. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly, from the pro shop to the starter to the maintenance staff.

A fun, enjoyable play for any level golfer! Lovely setting in the hills of the tropics with some great views! Finally made a drive over the water on the signature hole 17!

course could use a little rain. greens were very good. great layout, interesting holes and good amount of challenge. limited amenities, but staff is very nice.
