Misty Creek Country Club

It was very obvious from the start that I was going to be treated as a second class citizen because I booked through golfnow. I was a single and although I had a 2pm tee time, the starter sent out 3 groups of 3 before he let me go with an elderly couple, which was no fun.
Very disappointed, ruined my experience,

Wonderful golf course. Course was in very good condition. Beautiful surroundings - lots of wildlife in the area. Only negative was the pace of play. Waited on every shot.

Play was at our pace which was good with 3 players. We didn’t have to wait anywhere and we didn’t push anyone either.

Challenging layout. Love the fact that it is NOT wide open but has tree lined fairways. Greens are in great shape. Highly recommend!

Course has potential, due to layout..
Greens were like Rock. Speed horrible.
No comparison to any courses
Range good, refreshment cart poor. Never saw anyone the whole time.!

We played in 3.25 hours in season. Not bad, huh? Lightning fast greens that track pure, fairways like carpet, reasonable rough and traps. Only negative is the tees. We played the whites and they were pretty rough. Other than that, a very nice and challenging course.

I rated friendliness as excellent.
But
We finally saw a ranger on the back, our 3 some was behind a very slow 4 some.
The ranger told us he talked to the group ahead, but it didn’t help.
Everything else was very good.

Private course conditions available to public. One of nicest courses I have played in Sarasota area. Definitely worth a play!

Greens were excellent, fairways and tee boxes were average at best. Overall a nice day of golf ! Pace of play was excellent

Played after 2” of rain and amazingly the course was great! Greens were cut when the could have easily not mown because of rain so great effort by the super. The greens were fast and smooth. They are very small so there is a premium on accuracy. But, it’s not very long so mostly medium to short irons into them. I absolutely loved the layout. Beautiful setting with lots of wildlife. We had to wait to hit on 18 due to a heard of dear coming through the fairway. A great treat to see. This course is a break from the typical Florida course that winds through a housing edition. There are only a couple holes with houses only on 1 side, though set away from the hole enough that they really aren’t in play, and the rest of the holes are through the wooded preserve. Highly recommended!
