The course is enjoyable with wide open forgiving fairways, although some holes are deceiving; the staff was very friendly and helpful; only thing missing was a beverage cart!
the course was ok..
from what I was told ,the course will close in 6 months ,making way for a housing project.
Nice day at Rolling Green
Played in about 3:35. Solid pace of play and always nice people to play with here. Some fairways and greens in poor condition.
The worst conditioned course I’ve played in Bradenton/Sarasota in the past 5 years. I knew it as soon as I saw the front lawn to the clubhouse.
Not a bad track, but have seen much better. Municipal course with a lot of play so course get beat up. Not that terrible. Leo the starter does a great job.
Was pleased with the course and conditions considering the very reasonable cost.
not a good day
First let me say , the staff was great, but the course left a lot to be desired . Fairways are hard and the grass is short and sparse. the greens were fair, but the overcrowding was bad.. We were backed up for close to seven to eight min. on each hole, and after nine we called it quits. I would be hard pressed to go back.
The course could of been in better shape. It is just an okay course.
This course is perfect for the geriatric group. It does not prove too difficult and is easy to get around. It does not provide very clean fairways which should be reseeded. But it is a fair and reasonable price for a days golf play
The course was okay.
The course was okay . The greens were hard to putt . We had to wait on every hole on the back nine.
Better than expected.
Rolling Green was closed last summer, and word was heard that the course would be sold for development. In November, it reopened, but reports of course conditions were not good. We decided to give it a try last week, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the course back to its playing conditions of a year ago. Not great, but playable. Fairways were cut down. Rough was scraggly. Greens puttable. Bunkers have shallow, rather dusty sand on hard packed dirt. Pace of play was steady and quite smooth. We played in 3 1/2 hours. For the $18 GN fee, it was a good value.
Course just re-opened in November after being closed for 8 months. Needs a lot of care. Bare spots in fairways and on greens. Some of the bunkers were hard pan. Don't think they will be open much longer.
Mediocre at best
Course condition was average there was one person in the clubhouse, one starter and virtually no one else working there. no bar no food no amenities whatsoever. Water available on the course but no porta potties anywhere
