Greens are un-puttable don't waste your money
This course looks amazing on paper and definitely inviting through Golf Now. How they can charge $50 for a course that should be closed due to the shape of the greens is beyond me. I guess it is the only game in town and that is why they are ripping off the public that lives there. We live just north about 30 min. read so many reviews and see the pictures on Golf Now and really wanted to play this course.
The greens are bumpy, worn through, patches all over them. When you can't make a one foot putt because of the bumps and pits. I mean come on. You can't putt on them. It's like trying to putt on gravel. I wouldn't pay to play this course that is how bad they are. It's embarrassing that no one at the clubhouse warned us. Unless these people have never seen a real golf course that is the only way that they can't feel guilty charging people to play here. It's robbery. The guy we got paired with said they have been talking about replacing the greens for years. This is a municipal golf course run by the City of Sebastian. Completely embarrassing and the course should be closed. The poor folks that live in the area have no other golf courses unless they drive north or south by 30-45 minutes.
i honestly feel we should be refunded.
Great Municipal Course
We played two courses in the area over the weekend and we really enjoyed the welcome, friendliness, facilities, and overall course. It was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. We even played with a local Philipe who was a pleasure to meet and he was very helpful in getting around the course and sharing local information.
The restaurant on-site was also a great little Cafe.
Highly recommend.
Always a fun course
We always enjoy playing this course. New golf carts have pros/cons
Pros - interactive, don't lose power.
Cons- constantly warning you about speed and greens even while on cart path. It basically shuts down if you go looking for your ball in certain areas that are not OB. Then you can only use reverse to get back on fairway. Reduces flow of game because now golfers have to walk to those areas.
Enjoyable
All good playing condition. Ball rolled nicely on greens. Good lies in fairways. Bit thick off the fairways though. Stay out of the rough.
Local municipal course
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course was in very good shape. Carts are featured with GPS screen too!
Don't go after a rain storm. We had cart path only and that cause us to walk a lot!!
Great find!
I’ve been wanting to play this course for awhile and finally made the drive from Merritt Island. I was not disappointed. Awesome layout and green were perfect. Unfortunately the course was very wet due to heavy rains and cart path only. Will definitely play again!
Sebastian Municipal
The course is outstanding. The staff is great & looked for opportunities to get our foursome out early. We especially enjoy having GPS screens in the golf carts.
It is hard to write a review course was cart path only and extremely wet. Balls plugged in fairways and on greens
Nice Place
The course was very wet and does not drain well. The rental clubs as really bad.
The bunkers have no sand.
The greens run nice and in decent shape.
Pleasant employees.
Good course!
The only real problem with playing here is pace of play. Fairways ar good, greens are good and they have added new carts with built in GPS and maps, a great addition.
Great Course
The course is in great condition,, the greens are fast, the rough is well trimmed so you won’t lose your ball in it. The pace of play was outstanding.
Best Bang for the Buck!!
Golfed here last week through a Golf Now rate. Easily one of the better courses in the East coast BREVARD region; despite it being a Municipal course. The fairways were satisfactory, bunkers had actual sand, greens were heathy and played as true - great layout. The carts have GPS geo-fencing data, ice machine available (a big plus) and the staff (especially) the cart guys are super friendly! Oh BTW try their restaurant for great food on the turn or after your round. Good food and decent prices.
Overall: great experience and golfing conditions at a great price. Hit’em long and straight…
